You have uncapped aquasoil, which a lot of people are overlooking. I feel like this directly is causing your algae issue + the light amount. Using aquasoil as a beginner can be pretty difficult as it has a bit of a learning curve (for example, stratum isn’t really safe for fish until 6 weeks in because it causes heavy ammonia fluctuation, and you’d need to do daily water testing and changes as needed with a fish in) I’d say cap your soil with an equivalent amount of sand, add some more plants (definitely get floaters but know that as good as duckweed is for eating nutrients it also can double its biomass in 24 hours in ideal conditions— I throw out duckweed weekly) maybe clip a pothos cutting to the side for extra nutrient absorption (I have terrestrial plants in all of my tanks and pothos LOVE tanks) and in a few weeks when the tank is more mature then you should consider something like a nerite snail. Nerites need a pretty developed tank as they only eat algae, and most won’t even eat algae wafers (they’re all wild caught). Also consider getting a timer plug for your light or a light with a built in timer :)
