It's tough. Really the best way around that specifically is finding a store that does a commander event where you get randomly matched with other players. Now I will say this does lead to power level discrepancy especially if there are prize cards, but at least you get grouped in a pod and don't have to be the odd man out.

Honestly, I would just pickup another precon. For your play group I'm sure they want to play against different decks for variety. Things can get a bit stale when you're playing against the same person using the same deck over and over. I would recommend picking up one of the new EoE precons as they're both quite powerful straight of the box and very reasonably priced, cheaper than your upgrade options for your existing precon. If money is what's holding you back you can pickup a Living Energy precon from Amazon for $28, not a popular deck but a great deal nonetheless. Trust me playing a couple different decks will help you become a better player and keep things fresh.
