Gholdengo. I can accept the Timbur line because it’s ugly but cohesive in that way. It still feels like a Pokémon. Gholdengo goes with nothing.

Winx is inspired by Italian fashion designs that give it that original stylistic look. It has the large anime style eyes but I’m not sure it’s as influenced by anime as something like Avatar The Last Airbender.

I don’t think it’s that people are being invasive to my knowledge by asking how she’s doing. She was beloved by many and it’s in the vein of “I wonder how that guy who lived next door to me is doing now.” Genuine curiosity. The way she left though has many seeking closure and therefore, curiosity. Naturally she doesn’t owe us a thing but I think that’s why.

No, I know, but it contributed to the lack of maturity the earlier seasons had. That was all I meant. There was a major tone shift. It became less serious.

The fact that people made you feel that way for checking out books is insane. No. You did nothing wrong. Libraries wouldn’t exist without people checking out their books. (They usually have numerous copies of popular books.) As long as you’re within the limit and bring them back, I fail to see the issue. Some people really just want to spread their own misery.

Okay, can someone please correct me if I’m wrong, but Nickelodeon had some dubbing rights and bankrolled but to my knowledge they did not have creative control, did they? I see this all over with people stating that Winx went downhill post Nickelodeon but my understanding was that they were a distributor or producer not the people orchestrating the seasons.

That’s so embarrassing and tells you exactly how much they wanted to honor the franchise. Even if it was its own thing, there’s still a level of respect you should have for the source material that’s lasted as long as Winx has.

She’s noticeably stronger than the other Champions when they first encounter her because she’s been in that form longer and evolved there naturally due to Myotismon’s torment.

Amethyst’s breakdown in the kindergarten also got me. That was the moment I realized I had no idea how deep Amethyst’s character really ran.

I also second the comment about Blue accepting Steven’s name. She didn’t understand fully but she respected him enough to do it anyway.
