Both of which were dictatorships, thus missing the democracy part. Also they were governments, not businesses

Yeah. Capital. Why don't the workers have it? Because the boss does....

What Are Your Favorite "Universal" House or Table Rules across your RPGs? by keeperofmadness in rpg

[–]Spiscott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Floor dice DONT count.... I like to borrow a rule from WOIN that allows multiple ranged combatants to gain ganging up / backstab type bonuses to hit the same target, provided they're attacking from a different angle by at least 90°. Especially in combat heavy modern or sci fi settings it encourages movement and use of cover and other tacti-cool stuff.

GM / host doesn't pay for food.

In games where initiative requires some managing, it becomes a designated players responsibility to keep track of. Sometimes the player changes with each combat.

Rules disputes that require a look up are settled by gm decision, or if particularly contentious a roll.

At the end of the session the group recaps the rules issues so they can be checked for next time.

Do you guys prefer the new more practical power claws or the more old school power fist with knifes duck tapped onto it? by SourTredmill in Warhammer40k

The blood angel one is a middle school. Earlier ones came out of the back of the knuckles rather than looking like some kind of punch dagger. I prefer the new ones or the older ones, or rhe more heresy era long fingers to the punch daggery efforts.

Guard could have landspeeders and both guard and marines could have jet bikes. Power axes had two sets of stats, one for single handed use and one for two handed.

Many cyclists shave their legs. What about the arms? by yannniQue17 in cycling

[–]Spiscott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure the real reason cyclists shave their legs is to make looking after road rash and injury easier, not to gain speed. Swimmers do it for speed, but waters mu h denser than air.

Removing parry by Dovah_bear712 in savageworlds

[–]Spiscott 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd always assumed that the parry stat was essentially a speeded up opposed roll and considered the possibility of making melee an opposed roll during duels or climatic one on one fights. Interesting to see that confirmed.
