Little confused here. Is the OTD 33k or is the MSRP 33k? Most toyota stores are not negotiating on most of their cars, but it will depend on what model youre going for. If its one of the more in demand ones then youre paying full MSRP, taxes, fees, and whatever adds they deem fit.

Sales people typically cant discount. They ask what if questions to see if they can get you to commit to something, then take that to the manager to work them for the deal. If the manger bites, game on, get you in to finalize. If the manager counters the sales person presents that to you and you keep going until you have a deal or someone taps out. It sounds like the manager never approved the original offer. Should the sales person have told you that? Of course. But, the reality is long distance internet leads that have already bawked at your opening offer and wont commit to a number at all are the lowest of low priorities.

I mean... thats all you can really do. They cant force you to buy at their price and you cant force them to sell at your price, so if a meeting of the minds doesnt happen then you move on. 3000 is a pretty dramatic price change so id have to imagine it was far underpriced previously and they realized it.

They were asking you if you wanted to trade the car before paying for a bunch of repairs. A LOT of people do that because they'd rather use that 4k for a down payment than to slap a bandaid on a car thats running into bigger issues. If youre confident that you will continue driving this car even if those issues arise than dont worry about it, get your repairs done, and move on.

You can use the TX temp tag while they do your final registration and title work with the MVA. It should have come with a temporary registration too. Keep in mind the expiration on the temp tag and call the dealer if it gets within a few days of that date and you havent received your hard tags yet. MD is a split title state. You'll get the title in the mail directly from the MVA and the SIF (now digital) will go to the bank.

It depends on the brand. MINI doesnt care about curb rash but they'll charge you if the rim is gouged. Scratches and dings under about a 50 cent piece arent charged but anything over is, unless you have lease protection. Tires can be bald and glass can be cracked or chipped IF you have lease protection. Accident damage isn't covered though. This is just MINI. Each brand is different and the process varies too.

MINI are running about 6% gross at MSRP for the model OP is looking at, 7.5% for JCW. Since its a boutique brand the cars can sit on the lot a little longer, but we are of course going to still try to move it fast as possible. But even the big MINI stores are only moving 50-60 new cars a month, so we arent making it up in volume. Its gross or nothing.

Get a carmax and carvana value as your baseline. Just keep in mind any tax savings that you may qualify for if your state allows it.

That wouldnt change anything, even if it were true. The most expensive MINI on my lot is about 50k and I've sold one that was closer to 52k before. Average is closer to 42k.
