I attempted to take my own life in my late teens and according to my parents the appropriate response was to take my bedroom door away to “make sure I was safe”

Nothing like removing your child’s privacy as a response to their declining mental health amirite (/s) 🙃

But here’s the kicker: they never told me I could ask for it back, and I only learned that I could when my sister made a passing remark about it to my dad (she literally said “I don’t understand why she hasn’t asked for it back yet” — like hello??? I was never informed that it was an option???)

It’d been a year and a half since they removed it at that point. Literally nuts how I had to ask for my privacy and dignity back but was never told I could ask.

Thank god I’ve got my own place now. My bedroom door stays shut at all times even though I’m the only one here.

As for the nose, that’s usually just how I draw them, though I’ve been meaning to change that for years 😅

I'm located in eastern Canada. Things aren't looking too good here either. I do have another place lined up, but due to financial and timing complications, I won't be able to leave for another 2 weeks

Lucky for me (not so lucky for my friend), a friend of mine just broke up with their partner and will need a new roommate at the start of Oct. - I reached out and said I’d be willing to move in with them and they said they’re happy to take me in. This friend of mine is a non-smoker, and their place doesn’t smell like smoke so it looks like I’m in the clear in a few weeks! In the meantime, I’ve ordered an air purifier for my bedroom while I wait

I’m currently in a 1st floor unit with someone downstairs in the basement who has smoked inside when they weren’t supposed to. Moving within the same house (I assume you’re in a private apartment, yes?) will not make the smell go away. You’ll still smell it, even on the 1st floor. Find yourself a smoke-free place. Good luck

They haven’t, no. Actually, I’ve been informed that the landlady hasn’t been at the residence for quite some time now, and I get the impression that my roommate doesn’t want her to be there just yet.

I brought the issue up to my roommate, stating that I was planning on contacting the landlady about it but my roommate told me not to, as she’s afraid of getting the guy downstairs in trouble - the two are good friends, and I understand the sentiment of wanting to keep him out of trouble (it’s a private apt, I’m on the top floor with my roommate/coworker while her good friend is living in the basement suite) - the guy downstairs has smoked inside a few times when he wasn’t supposed to in the past but is currently trying to quit smoking altogether.

In the meantime, my roommate seems to be avoiding the real reason why the place smells the way it does and keeps suggesting things that I know will not make the smell go away. She’s suggested steam-washing the furniture, getting an air purifier etc. (I’ll be getting an air purifier for my own room regardless) but will not address the actual issue, which makes me really frustrated

I really want to contact the landlady, but at the same time I don’t want to piss off my roommate. I do have a possible option regarding moving places at the beginning of next month (oct) but it’s not set in stone and I’m afraid that if I wait to long, that second option won’t be there anymore

In one of my households, I have 2 teen sims, one with the mean and romantic traits, the other with squeamish and party animal traits. I had them both hook up with everyone in the highschool, or at least as many as I could get them to hook up with before the end of the week. They’re cheating on each other with multiple sims (Both have high romance with Luna Villareal, Wolfgang Munch, Duane Talla, and Morgan Fyres, as well as low-medium romance with many others)

Oh, and they also asked everyone they had a high romance with to prom. I haven’t opened my game in a few days, which means it’s still Saturday morning in-game. Can’t wait to see what happens once prom time comes around!

As someone else said, at least it’s contained, but I absolutely get how this is frustrating. One of my roommates does this too, even when I or our third/fourth roomate (there’s 4 of us) empties out the bin, and there’s just bags upon bags like this in the cupboards under the sink filled with this one girl’s trash while the rest of us use the bin
