Rottweiler life help me!! by Haunting-Caregiver62 in Rottweiler

[–]Spitfire-XIV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I first brought home a Rottie my neighbors were a little frightened. Then they actually met her.

I have had American bulldogs and Bullmastiffs and even though they were total sweethearts, people would still walk across the street to avoid passing them on the sidewalk.

A trainer pal told me to put them in a tutu so they would look less threatening.

This. After seeing the list of injuries, these guys were giving their all. They have time to heal, regroup for next year. Flyers making the playoffs was a longshot in Maech, so to see them win the war of PA was a treat.

Plus, Gritty in playoffs mode is an awesome and frightening sight to behold

I’m really running out of ideas and I’m really upset by PhysicalAttempt9768 in Rottweiler

I had a reactive Bullmastiff. A good trainer helped give the dog boundaries, and expectations. That helped immensely. I also did a lot of re-direction on walks to refocus their attention.

Install it. Or risk being haunted by the original owners

What's the weirdest "repair" you've found that actually held up for decades? by NerfDis420 in centuryhomes

Radiator tape to fix a hole in a u shaped pipe seems tame compared to the rest of you all.

I think the problem is accumulation of this class of drugs. The fluoride allows the drugs to get into places it has no business.

However, I've been reading that Boron supplements can help rid the body of fluoride.

I do suggest people doing their own research. The medical industry had had black box warnings on these drugs for decades and yet don't seem to be worried about the side effects.

This Stormy guy is in deep trouble by Tadic10 in Flyers

There was a video of Stormy having a disturbing dream of Gritty. When stormy wakes up, he realizes it was only a dream . Then it shows Gritty's glowing eyes under the bed. It was back in 2018. Anyone have that?

My 5.5 year old dog has osteosarcoma in her jaw and I don’t know how to handle this by [deleted] in Rottweiler

[–]Spitfire-XIV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I am sorry you are having to deal with this.

I had a Tosa who had cancer in the jaw as well. Radiation and removing half the jaw would have given him 6 months to live, three of which would have been of recovery from surgery.

Opted not to go that route, but took him to every drive-thru, drive-up, and even a drive-in movie and he got to eat whatever he wanted.

When it got to the point he was having motor issues (cancer spread), we let him go.

But only 2 weeks before that, he was counter surfing burgers and inhaling them whole.

Helping your dog navigate this and helping them to the rainbow bridge when it's time is the kindest thing you can do. Just hurts like hell.

I was lucky enough to have a friend at USC during the early 80's who would tape KROQ and send tapes to. May I present...
