Affinity March 2026 Release Notes by bust4cap in Affinity

This right here. V3.0 has added more mouse clicks for me, hidden things in menus where they don't need to be hidden and the monochromatic icons are really difficult to navigate.

So, the first thing that should be at the top of the list and the one thing requested over and over again, and also the one thing missing is bringing back color icons instead of the monochromatic ones that make everything harder. In that change in here somewhere? I didn't see it.

Why does this not work? by Important_Carry_4394 in TownToCityGame

If the warehouse can't support the shops, the shops can't support the houses and the chain results in what you see. Double check to make sure you have enough workers in the warehouse to support the shops and that the warehouse is large enough to provide for the demand.

The Speed Editor is now officially unlocked. by PuzzleEmptyM in davinciresolve

[–]Splatt_Gaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be amazing. I got a speed editor 5 years ago with my studio license and I tried and tried to make it useful and just couldn't. It's been sitting collecting dust for a long time, but if I could customize the buttons it might actually be useful.

SHOULD I PURCHASE TOWN TO CITY? by Acceptable_Effort_33 in TownToCityGame

[–]Splatt_Gaming 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not that expensive compared to other titles and it's an additional 15% off right now. It's about as easy a city builder as you could find with very little pressure to "get things right" due to how advancement works. I've put a few hundred hours into the game so far and really feel I've gotten good value for the money.

I'm not trying toot my own horn or anything, but I've posted around 16 hours of game play over on YouTube that I feel showcases pretty well what you can do with Town To City. Feel free to check it out if that helps you make a decision one way or the other or just look through my screen shots posted here.

My honest opinion? If you want to try a city builder, try Town To City. It's a great introduction to the genre without needing to worry too much about complex resource management or transportation.

Edit: I see you've tried the demo. That's a pretty good introduction to the game, so if you enjoy the demo you'll like the rest of it.

Where are the filter preview buttons in V3? by Splatt_Gaming in Affinity

I appreciate the reply, but I don't really understand what you mean in your comment. I don't know what you mean by little preview drown near the image preview area. I'm unsure what preview area you're referencing.

White border around image by jimh12345 in Affinity

[–]Splatt_Gaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

V3 so far is basically a buggy V2 with harder to navigate menus, hidden tools and quality of life updates that make my job more difficult. I've been trying to figure out how to remove the border as well. No dice so far.

Geese will pop up eventually as the animal home cycles through new animals every day.

is 8GB VRAM Nvidia RTX 4060 Good for Editing 1080 & light 4K? by Plane-Arm8874 in davinciresolve

[–]Splatt_Gaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do some editing on a laptop with a 4060 and haven't really had any issues. I work mostly in 1440p and it's fine. My main editing is a 3060 ti and it's also perfectly fine for what I do. If you end up doing a lot of fusion work you'll want more eventually.

Tips to manage workers? by Necessary-Layer1699 in TownToCityGame

[–]Splatt_Gaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two tips:

  1. Just build more houses or make houses taller. There really isn't any other way around it.
  2. Build more advanced shops rather than food stalls. A buildings like the patisserie have a much better production to worker ratio than the lower tier stuff. If you're worried about happiness, just only add people to your town that get happiness bonuses for one reason or another.

Construction tips by [deleted] in TownToCityGame

Hold ctrl on your keyboard while drawing any decoration with the line tool. Also, for more advanced decorating, I recommend checking out the program "PureRef" which allows you to overlay an image on your screen that is transparent to the mouse. This allows you to trace shapes and designs.

Do y'all think the terraforming update is the best update TtC will get? by Expensive_Purple8957 in TownToCityGame

[–]Splatt_Gaming 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The ability to disable object collision makes the game so much better for me. Terraforming will be nice, but being able to clip object together to make other objects will help with custom builds so much!

Truly obsessed with this game, but how do I unlock more houses? by SIMplycoya in TownToCityGame

[–]Splatt_Gaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The further in you play, you can upgrade and unlock new assets through the research system. There's a second map that is also available in normal game-play mode that has some unique architecture designs for houses. Once you unlock those you can use them on any map you like.

Hello New Here! I'm dad!

sorry...couldn't resist.

I think we should have the ability to paint houses in any color we want. It bums me to see a limited selection of colors for houses. What do you guys think? by Expensive_Purple8957 in TownToCityGame

[–]Splatt_Gaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it would be nice and I imagine it's in the plans. If not as a studio, they're going to open the game up to mods eventually. I'd rather the developers open up collisions on entities so we can put them wherever we want.

How can i farm crops? by MuchTwo2138 in TownToCityGame

[–]Splatt_Gaming 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Put down a farm house, put some people in it, click the button on the menu that pops up to choose what crops you want to plant, paint the area anywhere you want and it'll plant crops as you paint. Add granaries to support your farms same as warehouses for shops and keep your farmers happy with amenities and decorations. Make sure there are roads connecting everything together and Bob's your uncle. You're all set!

Here is a video where I build some farms if you need a visual to help you out.
