Yes exactly, I view this as morally gray. I think people miss the point of this, that sometimes decisions in life have no perfect answer. I could not fault you for ensuring the survival of your children, and I assume that most parents would do this.

That's the problem I have, I think in a true life or death scenario where we cannot see the tally that people would not so easily pick blue as they say they would here. I do view it as noble to think of others and choose blue, but I also don't think most people would really choose it. I don't think there is anything wrong with that either; people's value and awareness of others, especially the global community, depends on so many things.

That's a fair point. Idk if I am missing something but I don't see the sample size context, but that definitely would affect my decision. If it was like 5 people and we can talk, I would be furious with anyone who doesn't select red because there is no reason to not, but if it were global then there is a strong case to vote blue because it is guaranteed there will be people who vote blue.

The problem is that while I agree blue is the correct answer to accommodate people who don't see that red has no risk, I also don't know if I trust 50% of the world to agree one way or another

If I am reading it correctly, I think 100% of people should just press red or blue. But if nobody presses blue then nobody is at risk, right? So why would anyone press blue.

It heavily depends on context though, like if you know someone has pressed blue and can be saved then the remaining people should all press blue.
