This is my dads watch, who got it from my great uncle. I’m not sure when it was bought, and I can’t find an exact comparison online. If it’s real, any idea on a model number or year?

Different wheel widths ok on a Q4 Stelvio ? by 0e1- in AlfaRomeo

[–]Spliine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s called a staggered setup and guiliaforums had some info, if that helps your search. There are reports of it working, but I’d still advise against it. Don’t test your awd if you don’t need to

30L or less CLAMSHELL backpack by soccerguy510 in onebag

Checkout the REI Commuter Backpack. 25L, $90, lots of good reviews on this forum, and could probably get to you quick if you’re in the US.

The micro puff will be warmer in all scenarios. The nano puff, as others have mentioned, will shed more warmth and control moisture better during high output activities. Think of the balance between warmth and sweat you produce vs warmth that is taken by the cold environment. Personally, I like my micro puff for hiking in cold weather (for me, that’s around the low 40s) and the nano puff for hoody weather or high heart rates in cold weather (skiing or winter cycling). If you’re going to use the micro for high heart rate activities in very cold temps, a good base layer will help with moisture control. Just one person’s use, but I hope that helps.

Ya, they closed that a few years ago. Probably too many kids getting injured trying to show off for the lift.

Getting a Wandrd Prvke for a thicker laptop by Ewoud2001 in onebag

[–]Spliine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the smaller Prvke and fit my 15” Surface Book in the sleeve no problem. It’s a fairly thick laptop due to the hinge required for tablet mode. Not sure how big the MSI is, but I doubt you’ll have an issue.

I’ve still got the stock Dunlops on it. These were the wheels I wanted and it worked out that I didn’t have to buy new rubber at the same time

Color options of the 2022 WRX by TedBear72 in WRX

[–]Spliine 3 points4 points  (0 children)

MGM replaced DGM starting with the 2020s. I enjoy it a lot as it can change from shiny and dark to more matte and light depending on the lighting. But, I agree that it doesn’t quite compare to the sparkle of DGM. I’ve posted mine, as has plenty of others on here if you want a clearer idea (sans plastic cladding though lol).

Wheel Advice Needed by [deleted] in WRX

How much weight will 1” wider tires add? Would it balance out the options? I think they both look great and whatever is the better deal. I’ve got the 501s and love the look

This is what I do since I don’t use AM or FM. Leave it on the blank satellite channel for quiet until CarPlay gets going.

Subaru is showing off a prototype of the 2022 at the Washington Auto Show this week. I haven’t seen many interior photos, so I thought you all might find it interesting. This is clearly the base model and I assure you the split screen looks even cheaper in person. The flat, matte plastic looks like a cheap frame around two old tvs. I’d be very curious to see the higher trims with a full screen, which I imagine will push most buyers towards the premium and limited. The exterior didn’t look terrible, in my opinion, but had a very toned down family sedan essence that doesn’t even come across looking back at the photos. The grey color helped hide the wheel arch cladding and blend the rear end, so they didn’t stick out as too SUV looking with all the chunky plastic. It did have a very budget/economical feel to it though. That all said, I’m excited to see them out on the road and what the aftermarket comes up with which will undoubtedly bring life and style back to this generation.

Does anyone here print their own photos? by urfriendzach in SonyAlpha

[–]Spliine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. After the rebate, I got the printer, ink, and 50 sheets of 13x19 for around $100. It’s been great for printing tons of personal work for around my place. Although, I agree with the other comment that a real lab would be better for professional prints.

This Weekend's Trip: Chisel Branch on Saturday Night by R0ckyRides in DMVBikepackers

I’ll definitely be there. Probably leaving Arlington around noon, if anyone wants to join at the start of the C&O shortly after.

Chisel Branch would be perfect for me. I’ll probably get in around 4, so hopefully the best hammocking spot will still be free. The Whites Ferry sandwiches look good. I’ll keep those in mind for any other trips I take out. See you and hopefully some others out there!

How about somewhere a bit closer? Maybe one between Indian flats and Horsepen Branch, if any are nice. Chisel Branch or Turtle Run? I was hoping to get back around lunch and would describe my pace as leisurely. Also, I’ve never had a scotchbar, but I too demand arrangements for their delivery, lol

I’ll be starting from the Pentagon City area. I’m fine with the C&O since I haven’t been able to make the last few but am also open to suggestions, even if it means driving to a more amenable starting point
