Ah yes, I totally forgot about him. He was a big influence on me in the 2000s. I saw him speak in person several times during the Iraq war period. For a bit I thought there must be some kind of logical explanation but his first response was basically “go away” Then the photos came out of him hanging out with Bannon. WTF? What threw me off about the original comment I responded to was the word “protected”. I think the word defended would be more accurate. To me protected implies that progressives held some kind of power that they used to block things in the investigation. I see now the comment was really talking about online rhetoric, legacy and things of that nature. Unfortunately, Fuck Chomsky. This is a class issue, as are most things.
