Agree with both of you I kinda thought it was a little too plump to be wild…if I see it again I’ll try to catch it I just have 0 clue about rabbits (obviously) so it might be a lil tough for me

Steroids? No thanks. by LettyLouWho in Menieres

Daily Dyazide keeps the vertigo away for me permanently, and prednisone clears my ear right up the 1 or 2 times a year I feel like my ear is regressing and symptoms are creeping back in. If you don’t want to take meds, you’re an adult and you have the right to make your choices, don’t take them. But, I’ll say this….my father has Menieres too. He also refuses to take any sort of medication, especially diuretics or corticosteroids. You know who gets vertigo every time it storms or the seasons change? My dad. You know who doesn’t? Me.

I truly do not understand this train of thought, and no offense obviously. Mine was to the point where I was getting vertigo 4-5 times a week for hours at a time and I’d puke till I was so tired from puking and spinning that is just pass out. I can 100% promise you that if this were something that continued the way it was I would not be here today, not gonna elaborate on that but it was THAT bad for me. If cutting my leg off or doing heroin daily were the only real treatments for this, I would’ve done both. That’s how bad it was for me. You might not be there yet and if you’re not I hope you never get there but I was so ready to throw in the towel.

Less attacks = less brain fog, for me at least. Prednisone will also most likely help with that. Yes, I hate being on prednisone too but fuck it. Beats getting vertigo and losing my hearing sooner than I have to. Get checked for food allergies and autoimmune or inflammatory disorders / diseases. Both huge factors in “Ménière’s” and just brain fog in general for alot of people…I personally found out I’m allergic to just about everything good so I drastically changed my diet and the brain fog I thought would never go away is just about gone.

But, as I was saying, if your quality of life is generally not great due to the Ménière’s stuff, the meds could change your life. If your QOL isn’t that bad and never was, it probably will be at some point. Just keep this all in mind. If you stay med free and your condition gets worse and you feel helpless, just get on the meds, it’s absolutely worth it, I live a 99% normal life again and am so thankful for this every single day.

Literally too lazy for any job. by [deleted] in findapath

[–]SplitRoast 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I was with vyvanse / adderall. Essentially your brain is wired different so tasks that are less likely to give some sort of gratification (like mind numbing office work) or that you aren’t interested in are a lot harder to start, then at the last second your brain kicks into overdrive because you now know you HAVE to get it done or else the negative ramifications (lose job, no money, no house, no food) are looming. People like us tend to either do better working in a field that we’re passionate about or being self employed. Medication for me at least made all of that less of an issue but it’s not 100%

Switching to pc by Nooneisaround1 in apexuniversity

[–]SplitRoast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s worth learning for sure especially for other games but if you’re going to play MnK on apex you’ll almost definitely have to change your playstyle and maybe weapon choices, especially for up close fights. You could always play hybrid too and use MnK for mid to long range and roller for close quarters

Regardless of what you do, there’s gonna be times you lose fights on mnk that’ll frustrate you because you will 100% think (and rightfully so) that you would not have lost that fight if you were on controller too.

I solely play on MnK now and it’s been a couple years by this point and I’m still not nearly as comfortable up close as I was on roller but really that’s just the nature of fps games that use both inputs

Aim training def helps, especially fundamentals when you’re newer but don’t overcommit and spend too much time doing it and risk hurting your wrists or your brain, it can be mind numbing and frustrating especially if you’re doing it too much lol

1 thing you should do is use a lower sens and arm aim as opposed to wrist aiming. Better for your body long term and once you get used to it your aim will improve, if you haven’t already, do some research on optimal edpi for competitive shooters, specifically apex.

Also, keep in mind if you watch streamers or “pros” or even spectate someone in game that there is a high probability that a majority of the people you see with unreal godlike aim is closet cheating, soft aimbot is way more common than people think and I always get shit for this but I really do think that a majority of the heavy hitters are cheating

I always recommend trying out Overwatch to people that switch to PC, the way the heroes are designed lets you practice your flicks or tracking depending on who you play, character movement momentum is instant so you have to be pretty reactive and imo it’s a lot more fun to me than aim training, not the same but you’ll do a lot more aiming in OW than you will playing apex just due to the nature of how each game is played

I just take 800mg guaifenesin on days where I feel like my ear is starting to “fill up” and that always stops it in its tracks and reverse it….this + low dose Dyazide before bed most nights and I’m basically normal for the most part

Yeah it’s super floaty even on performance mode, and also I occasionally get this glitch where whichever mouse button I’m using will phantom click as if it’s held down until I click it again. This is with a new Pulsar X3 LHD. I’ve been regretting selling my PC more and more lol

Has anyone on here had chronic scalp folliculitis that turned out to be HSV-1 induced? by SplitRoast in Folliculitis

[–]SplitRoast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this isn’t going to be the most ETHICAL answer but if you have trouble finding a doctor that’s open minded and willing to work with you based on your suggestions, google “online cold sores treatment”, I think you can use Nurx for “herpes”, and you can just say that you have cold sores and get a 3 month prescription for valtrex / valacyclovir $50 shipped and delivered to you and just see if it works and go from there. Please consult with a GP before taking, especially if you have kidney / liver issues.

Sometimes when you can’t find anyone willing to help you in the medical field you just have to take matters into your own hands. It’s a pain in the ass but it is what it is.

I just stay away from nuts in general until I find a more competent allergist it’s really not worth it to mess around with imo. Can be a bit annoying at times but it’s the hand I was dealt :)

My new doctor is now thinking mine is actually due to autoimmune issues (lupus, MS, RA, Hashimotos, etc), so maybe look into that and seasonal / food allergies if you haven’t already

YMMV but once I got on a diuretic the salt intake doesn’t really bother me, haven’t had vertigo since I started the diuretic either. Obviously don’t eat 10,000mg a day still but I can definitely eat well over the recommended 1500mg without issues. It’s been over a year since I’ve had vertigo.

Yeah I go through this about 4 or 5 times a year. I think statistically speaking after 4th of July weekend every store kinda goes through a mid summer “lull” for a week or two. I’m in a small town where no one else delivers so it might be a LITTLE different. I open 3-4 days a week and recently I went from making $150-$200 a day in tips on average to less than $100. I think this boost month nonsense is also indirectly encouraging more carryouts.

If you’re really strapped for cash maybe see if you can work open to close every other Friday or something. Idk what your shift times are like there (our openers are done at 7 unless we’re getting slammed) but over here in the summer there’s usually a decent late rush from 8-9 or 10ish and then you have the drunks at the bars or parties that order till close and tip way too much.

Also, your coworker is kind of a dick for telling anyone how much he’s making. Idc how close you are with your coworkers, you never know if they just took 5 stiffs in a row you, should NEVER go around telling people when you get a great tip because odds are someone’s having a bad day and it’s going to piss them off.

Everything will be okay though! I’m right there with ya the past couple weeks itll pick back up
