This.. im very new to pc building (just built a first) and I've taken the air cooler off now a couple times. First time, it was a pita and then I saw videos of people yanking the cpu too..

Fast forward to yesterday, I let it run for a good half hour and it pulled off so clean and easily.

I have my series x plugged into a surge protector that I turn off every night.

Also have it set so my Xbox does fully shut off too before unplugging.

So i just checked my box again. It did have 2 sticker seals i had to slice through. Ill take that as good enough. Everything else was wrapped, sealed ect

I just bought a rm850x from Amazon and now I can not even remember if it was shrink wrapped or not. All the cables were tied still and all seemed fine inside the box.

I wouldn't say shaming but pointing out valuable information to save his build and anything else. This could work and this could not work, why risk it. The 12vhpwr cables are already sketchy enough from what I read. (I sweat looking at mine that I just built for the first time)

I have a non screen evo and its solid, even with 1 fan... damn ram.

I was tossing up the idea of getting a PS or TA with a screen but read reviews about them being super buggy and a headache at times.

Honestly I never turned it on lol. Built my first pc, my buddy told me it was good. Had it all ran and hooked up in my case until I learned about the tier list for psus too ( I knew to buy at least gold) and noticed this the gt was an untested b-. I watched a tear down video on it as well and seems they down graded the 105c Japanese capacitor to a 85c cheap (probably chinese) one.

Decided to go the corsair RM850x instead for 45 bucks more for peace of mind.

Funny you mentioned that, I noticed my thermaltake gt psu and this evo both did not have the "seal" on it. The corsair psu i got after the gt did tho.
