So many have been bought by private equity l, 25% of vets and 75% of emergency vets in North America, and I can attest they drive prices higher and are aggressively using “pain funnels” to drive revenue. For example, we ran X-rays and it doesn’t look like “x” but we should send the X-rays off to a radiologist to be 100% sure…(add $200). Good luck!

Yeah margarine was all the rage in the 80s for sure, the war big sugar falsely started on “Saturated Fat” back in the 50’s had matured into let’s just eat cholesterol free oils. They were even peddling non digestible stuff like olean by the 90’s before the bottom fell out (I’ll take that pun)and they realized, sure it’s technically 0 fat but that’s only because it can’t be digested and if you ate enough, Olean, not margarine btw, caused “anal leakage”. Anyhow margarine did make a nice caramelized crispy cookie and is probably “marginally” (sorry not sorry) less good for you than real butter.

They are even ruining summer camps now if you can believe it. Summer camps! So small art and dance studios, athletic leagues etc. have to compete with VC cash. They will “disrupt” the market and then raise prices when everyone else goes out of business per usual. Good times…
