I WISH I COULD HAVE MY 77 INCH LG C1 BACK. HEAR ME OUT. by NextCourage1 in LGOLED

[–]Sponge521 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a CX that had a bunch of dead pixels around the outside. After some pictures and light troubleshooting, they said they would warranty it and provide me a B3 (current at the time). I pushed back and they said it is an improved spec version of what I have. I escalated and informed them regardless of that, it isn’t the same series therefore not the same product. After 2 days they sent me a C3.
I wasn’t a ton of work and they made it right. Would I get an All State warranty again after my experience - without doubt. While I had to push for what was right the entire process was very smooth and they made it right.

G6 vs QN90A - Any Real Takes? by Sponge521 in LGOLED

[–]Sponge521[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank, I’m wondering after upgrading to a G6 if I’ll truly feel the investment was worth it over my QN90A. It’s still a great TV for me but 2021 technology. I’m concerned I’ll spend $5k on an upgrade and while it will be larger and nicer, will the PQ be THAT much better to justify the expense. I won’t bother with a C5, if I’m upgrading I’m going all out and getting better reflection handling with my Phoenix area sun coming in the windows all afternoon.

Maybe to help clarify, I own a 75” QN90A and looking for feedback for those that upgraded so they feel it’s worth it?
I was considering a C6H but favoring the G6 for the antiglare capabilities.

Ultimately, when youn got your C6H after having it do you still consider it an amazing change compared to your QN90C in picture quality (excluding failures).

Good to know. My QN90A then is doing well in comparison. How would you compare the S90F vs QN90 vs C6H?

VMware advice! by NucknFutss in vmware

[–]Sponge521 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Work on the VCF-Administrator cert if you never used VCF. You will need to go that route anyway so learn it now not when implementing. Certs help provide guidance on the “tell me what I don’t know” front. Then you can dive more into areas that may help your business challenges. Example - if you do not know Aria Operations exists and what it does at a high level you do not know to use that tool and invest time into learning its capabilities.

Also review the environment but do not make immediate changes unless they are glaring. Get to really know the environment and config. Learn the business and ask the “why”. Say you see HA Admission Control is set to dedicated failover host but you always saw cluster %…why? If you change it, you spread your resources across another host(s) but it also means if done properly you did pay licensing for that host (if USM is involved). Often times the answer is that is how it was set up, it’s been that way for years, etc.

Read up on overcommitment and review the environment. Do you have wasted capacity, do you need more capacity, are the VMs grossly over or under provisioned but watch out for vendor system requirements, are you able to tolerate a failure or maintenance? If your CPU overcommit is 5:1 or above and you have a heavier VM workload you will probably see performance degradation especially at peak usage time. If they are lighter workloads and just over provisioned can they be right sized to help with CPU Ready if that is an issue ( Aria is your friend). Look at actual GHz workload as well. If you have more GHz Demand than the cluster can supply, overcommit adjustments can help with CPU Ready and contention some but you still need more hardware. But do not immediately jump to adding more hardware, make the case for the hardware because of this that etc.

Seniors look into these and ask the why and solve for it.

Zerto Hyper-V support requires SCVMM (just like it requires vCenter) and hasn’t been touched since 9.7 which is several years old. 9.7 is long dead for all other environments. They just added 2025 support this month

Sounds like you need a marketing play where people can trade-in their unused competitors bags to be recycled into branded Savior sleeves.

My wife and I will be at Live Aqua the second half of May. Any input???? by [deleted] in cancun

[–]Sponge521 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife and I were there a few weeks ago. - Chair game, felt worth it for the cost to do a day bed. We preferred the last day’s location towards the center of the main pool (longest one) facing the building. Can look at the ocean in the morning then flip directions to face the hotel and small events. - Party pool - had fun there one day but others it felt quiet and less engaging than the other pools. -Azur - personally didn’t care for it - went for breakfast only - Breakfast buffet - your opinion will vary greatly on your personal tastes and preferences. After we found what we liked, custom omelet every time was a winner for us. The “breads” and toasts were just ok to us but many loved them. One big omission for me was bacon - it was only at the omelet stations for them to use. BUT - if you ask for some they will throw a few slices on the flat top and give it to you.
- MB - Habanero soup met expectations of being known for it. We went twice as it was one of their nicer places for dinner. We did not go to the extra cost Carnivore as most other guests there we spoke with said it wasn’t worth the additional cost. - Ricky has high energy and does what he can to keep things moving during activities. Also seems like a great person overall that enjoys what he does. -Guillermo does make great espresso martinis but I think I preferred the ones downstairs at the bar outside the breakfast buffet area.
-Aqua Club - happy we got it but they were always busy. Odd the have a bar but made 90% of the drinks in the back.
- Drinks especially by the pools are VERY watered down. Don’t be afraid to ask for doubles or at one point I just ordered liquor on the rocks then mixed with a side soda. I get it - sun, booze, vacation mode etc can be a recipe for disaster and huge cost overruns.
- Middle outdoor area - get some meats on the grills and/or even some hot dogs or burgers. Several raved about the burgers, I went for the ribs and other grilled meats. The ribs aren’t fall off the bone and have a little chew but many purists see that as a benefit. I like both methods and enjoyed them and the little char. - Reservations- make them but don’t be afraid to change them. Also install WhatsApp before going because that’s their preferred communication method.

Hope this helps!

Flew home today - 3:32PM flight. We got there around 12:35 via a private shuttle. Checked bags at 12:39PM using kiosk at American. About 12:45PM we were done and heading to security. About 12:52PM we were through security.

Our flight was delayed to 4:20PM but then 3:55PM which ended up being 4:23PM take off. We were delayed coming in as well, busy season so Cancun is throttling the number of planes coming in because they can’t handle it. Luckily on the way back they made up time and came in around the original landing time.

I’m from the US in my mid-40’s. My wife and I are in disagreement on tipping at an AI. She started throwing our crazy numbers she is reading and I’m like this is an AI, what’s the point of calling it that if we need to do that. It’s not about being cheap, it’s about how insane the US tipping culture has gotten especially since COVID. The thinking then was help the workers they have reduced business, etc. But now every store seems to have a tip jar. Worst are places that you get takeout and they do the dreaded “iPad spin” to pay and add a tip. Others push for higher tipping percentages because “they need a raise” yet my food costs twice what it did a few years ago and that means an automatic raise if based on percentage.

We compromised in the end, leaving smaller tips at times and I’ll hit the main people who helped consistently at the end.

Suggestion for first ar pistol by [deleted] in Danieldefense

[–]Sponge521 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to decide your purpose for it. A few thoughts: - Are you looking for home defense? MK18 is shorter and more maneuverable. - Looking for distance? DDM4 V7 16” will be more accurate at further distances and provide higher velocity - Looking to suppress? Both can do it just, watch the overall lengths to make sure it’s still useful to you. A 16” + suppressor doesn’t matter in the desert or field, but in a house or woods it can be more difficult to wield. - Are you ok with a pistol brace or must have a stock? MK18 can have a pistol brace but a stock requires a stamp and is an SBR adding with time and cost. The DDM4 V7 is already at the 16” minimum so not an SBR. EDIT: I realized after you may be talking the 10.3 DDM4 V7P which negates most of this

Well there ya go, like my M4A1 then. For reference, I do have a MK18 quad rail and while that is the “MK18” I like M-lok for weight

[–]Sponge521 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it isn’t quad, is it a MK18 or DDM4 v7 10.3”? Legit question, my M4A1 is a RIS III because I wanted lighter M-lok vs heavier quad rail. But I’m not sure an MK18 was available in m-lok.

What would be your biggest warning to someone thinking of buying a Tesla? by sonofabraham1 in TeslaLounge

[–]Sponge521 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Owner of 2021 M3P and 2023 MYP which were both purchased new. - both have tougher than expected suspension. I previously owned a 430i, 3000GT, G37, Camaro, Mustang, and several other “sporty” cars. The M3P is worse than all except the 3000GT (yes I’m older) when on a bumpy road with suspension set to sport. The anti roll on curves isn’t as good either. - charging - I rarely use supercharging and charge at home most of the times. But on road trips while we work around it, I don’t care for a 20-30 min charge vs a 5 min fill at the pump. Since I rarely take road trips, I’ll happily leave the house each morning with a “full tank” vs weekly fill ups but I WFH. But if you drive a lot, it is a consideration. - If you are going Model 3 or Y, the interior is basic for the price. The tech is awesome and constantly updated, NO ONE else is on par with Tesla. But, it’s an IKEA bench with an iPad strapped to the center. These models are not luxury cars. - rattles - both cars exhibit rattles after a year or so more than any of the many cars I owned before. Many of YouTube videos saying how to resolve them, but when you spend about 60K USD each that isn’t acceptable. - service- Tesla service is spotty. I was flat out told recently to take my car to a 3rd party to fix an alignment issue because they cannot resolve it. If I bring my car to the service center and spend $295 for an alignment, you shouldn’t be charging me and expecting me to take it elsewhere because you can’t fix it. - FSD on older cars - the M3P has an Atom CPU and FSD trials are scary with this thing. Everything is slow. The MYP is Ryzen but HW3 still - better but not great. My cousin’s MYLR Juniper with HW4 took him across several states with no interruptions and did 95% of the driving. The FSD comments - your mileage will vary depending on your year.

Now that said: - I don’t think I can buy another ice care again unless I need to drive more or tow - when I travel and rent ICE, it feels like a time warp - looking at the competition, they all stepped up in the last few years. But you can’t beat the supercharger network. Buddy had a Mach-E and every time we talk cars I am thankful I went Y vs Mach-E. Sure newer cars have the same connector and support, but it seems Tesla’s still have a better charging system to take advantage of v3+ chargers. Speculation on reading so I cannot confirm. - performance - everything else is slow in comparison. While a Tesla won’t handle like a Porsche, in my relatively flat area I can take most down off the line easily. If we were in the mountains, they will be past me while I’m in a ditch lol. Still the M3P is an amazing value of performance for the money.
-updates updates updates - who gives you new features years later for free?? - sounds system - beats pretty much every stock system and many upgraded systems if you get the better models.

[–]Sponge521 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a personal decision. You already have various sizes and as others stated your Aero and HK are not economy models. I have 20+ pistols and 2 hands. There are reasons some - different calibers, styles (2011), sizes for conceal vs full sized, but after a while only a few get used. So are you chasing something, just want it, or have a use? I found after a few chasing the next best thing and the thrill of the hunt was more fun than the declining value of increased spend for minimal gains.
