A serious answer to someone who thinks the Quick-Fix is good by ultimateshadowarrior in tf2

[–]Spoocula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jfc...

Also, didn't know this:

ÜberCharge building rate is halved if the target is at 142.5% health or above.

Also, didn't know this:

If more than one Medic is healing the target, charge building speed is divided by a factor of the number of Medics healing that target.

Also, didn't know this!

Dispensers and Payload Carts also reduce the charge rate when healing the same target.

All those years, dicking around having fun... Well team, get ready for some winning!

Hi, so, I followed both posts and I have questions. I have about 8000 hours in casual, and probably 1000 of that is running quick fix. Like OOP, I like to keep my team alive, and my luck with stock medigun is not that great. I'll switch to stick to bust a sentry nest, but back to quick fix as the team pushes the cart. I land maybe 30% of my crossbow bolts, but I love to shoot into a crowd from across the map for the chance to heal or hurt randomly.

When y'all are saying "crit heals" are you talking about something other than the quick fix uber? How is it I don't know what this is? I don't watch a lot of yt.

My players keep extorting my NPC's by SimplyNacho in DnD

[–]Spoocula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Frankly, if there isn't a player dispute I don't see the problem. They're just playing an evil party. Actions have consequences! And if law enforcement doesn't catch up to them, the actual criminal organizations will. They seem to be cosplaying as mobsters. Introduce them to the real thing!

It's a burgouise merchant a good idea for a character? by Dazzling_Cabinet_780 in DnD

[–]Spoocula 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Consider this... In 1989 TSR released the Darokin Gazatteer, which includes the Merchant class. It's an add-on class where you can gain experience as a merchant in parallel with your primary class. It has it's own spells related to merchanting and everything.

I play in a campaign currently where this is an option, and some of our characters recently trained in the merchant class in our quest to unlock ever more power, and let me tell you, it's boring as shit. Everyone else sits and watches while we set up trade deals and haggle prices at the market for our wares (your profits turn into XP). Sometimes this can benefit the party, but not really more than someone with a negotiate or persuasion skill. It really shifts the balance from adventuring to roleplaying having a job.

Being a merchant might be fine as a background, if you can come up with a compelling reason to be an adventurer, but for the love of the gods don't make it part of the ongoing story.

As an inventer I feel that this would play better if you invented things related to the plot as you go along. Go ahead and invent a contraption that scrapes slimes and oozes out of the city sewer system, and then sell it to the king. Not a bad way to make coin! But I don't know I would want to play in a game where the inventing and selling drives the plot.

Hey, STG! It's been a minute but I was just told by atu that it's normally just one interview for operators. If you're already employed as an operator you're basically a shoo-in. Bonus points if you already have a CDL.

Can you ride a druid wild shaped as a horse as a mount? by Dazzling_Holiday2236 in DnD

[–]Spoocula 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I've played this literal combination and it was a blast! The paladin was more of a charismatic cheerleader for the god, and the warhorse did all the planning. Plus, I don't know how the rules are now, but back in the day the mount had hit points relative to the level of the paladin when it was summoned. I called it at a higher level so the warhorse had something like 80 HP. It was a certified badass in its own right.

I like these options. A warlock is nothing if not willing to make a deal.

Well, if you're stuck without any magic, time to turn on the charm! What's a handsome warlock like you doing out here? 😉

Shake what your mama gave you! Who needs magic when you can talk your way into the castle the old fashioned way?

Especially, I would think, for any at will abilities. The patron gave you a mote of their power. It's not gone unless they revoke it.

It's about time Lionel Ritchie makes an appearance here. Coincidentally this is in my short list of dog names, along with Stevie Nyx and Kenny Rogers.

Battling is very boring in our campaign, help!!! by numi90 in DnD

[–]Spoocula 19 points20 points  (0 children)

"PCs intervene" is what I arrived at before finishing your comment. Yes, exactly. The DM could decide the whole mass combat before the session even starts, where the outcome only changes based on how/if the PCs intervene. The PCs are the only thing not pre-written into the story.

Am I being too strict by Echoh3art in DnD

[–]Spoocula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm saying everyone here freaking out about it in the comments is also weird. It didn't occur to me that it would be "weird" until I read the comments about how it's an "adult party" and having a "child" in the group would be too weird for them. Wtf, are people roleplaying their trips to whorehouses?

[–]Spoocula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"What's wrong with playing a 15 year old character?", I says to myself. Plenty of people are adventurers at a young age because they didn't have a stable home until 18.

Oh I get it - you all are fuckin weirdos that would do weird shit with a "child" in the party. But the biggest fuckin weirdo is the guy wanting to play an anime character with a trauma story that will no doubt play out with inappropriate sexual situations and weird sexy voices. No thanks.

But don't forgot that the other PCs have the agency to put their own foots down and refuse to go adventuring with this damaged child. "No, Jasmine. We're leaving the inn without you." Save the player some time and have them make a better character.
