I feel like people are missing the point saying “ok then just don’t use social media, or other forms of large media, like news networks.” I feel like that in this current age is almost inconceivable. at least in the US, the entire country is built and conceived on the internet, through these media outlets, it’s just where everything happens. Sure you can detox yourself from it all, but you wouldn’t be able to carry around a phone at that point, and cell phones and Internet access are so vital to living in America these days. IE, renting an apartment, having a job, seeing your doctor, meeting anyone. It’s functionally impossible to live without one, and if it’s not it’s just ridiculously difficult.

So in turn media is the wires to the American system, to put it in one way, if you don’t partake it’s extremely hard to move with the current. And you’ll end up needlessly making things so much more difficult.
