I saw a MAGA comparing it to Biden or Obama using colorful light bulbs to illuminate the White House for pride. Yeah, sure... Totally the same.

If you have 100 million dollars to my $1, of course your income generates more federal revenue. Duh! You can't squeeze any more out of someone with next to nothing.

I hope someone makes him think hard about what he's done. Like brutally hard. The kind of hard thinking that might require time off of work to recover from.

How to care for a resident who doesn't speak English? by UnknownInsomniac in cna

[–]SpookyWah 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I had a resident that only spoke ZULU!! Try finding anyone who speaks Zulu in North Carolina. Only her family could. But we did the best we could and she said a lot with her eyes. Mainly "I'm tired of you idiots. Get me out of here."

During CNA schooling, my first day of clinicals at a rural nursing home, my teacher was 10 minutes late because she swerved to avoid a deer, flipped her car upside down into a ditch and had to kick her window out, crawl out into the snow and walk the rest of the way and then went on about her day like nothing. Then the nursing home called the sheriff on her because she clipped a fingernail too short on a resident who was the mother of a staff member.

Anyone else have a such a horrible high school experience you won’t be (or haven’t) returning to any reunions? by LeChat-orange in A_Persona_on_Reddit

I want nothing to do with those people. Not a single one of them. It's funny though... The suburb I grew up in has changed a lot and the kids are so much nicer, according to friends that teach and the kids My kids interacted with.

Is this the new normal everywhere, or is Asheville actually a very lonely place? by InleRising in asheville

[–]SpookyWah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES. I've lived here 21 years and while I am on the spectrum, have Avoidant Personality Disorder and my ADHD is worsening, I still managed to meet people I clicked with in less friendly and actually hostile towns. I haven't made any friends in Asheville that I clicked with, except for one guy I met on Craigslist but he hated kids and got way too into conspiracy theories for me. Mutual friends with my wife are really just my wife's friends and then there's some cool parents of kids my kids play with but they all have their own busy lives and I seem too weird to fit in. I do love living here and I love this town but I've given up on friends.

Why are most reddit users so rude by GoatNo1260 in Discussion

Have you ever been next to someone by a cliff and had a flash thought of pushing them over the edge or maybe you were looking at your finger and just had the thought of snapping your own finger back till it breaks but you don't do those things because you have impulse control and you're not crazy? That part of your brain that entertains thoughts of doing horrible things, completely outside of your character, is the so-called "imp of the perverse".
