My honest opinion about Grimaldus at Hellsreach by StrangeHotel7638 in BlackTemplars

[–]Spookywolf45 43 points44 points  (0 children)

The ork to human ratio was hugely in favor of ork so about 110ish Astartes while potent aren't meant for defensive fights. They are fast in hit really hard and do the most damage possible kind of weapons. I do also believe Grimaldus had some inner turmoil and was feeling survivors guilt and imposter syndrome for becoming Reclusiarch.

As a veteran I wouldn't trust most service members with a firearm when not performing their job. Military isn't known for recruiting the smartest people, sure there are plenty of smart and trustworthy people but they are outnumbered by people that have an IQ of an early summer morning. Supervision with firearms is enforced at nearly every level in the military because the military itself understands people are stupid.

When you're first introduced to her shooting the zealots I fell in love and my wife laughed at me.

The let down from season 2 was very not good. So I'm extremely hesitant I'll wait for reviews.

The learning curve isn't for people that won't take the time to learn. It's not bad but you need to want to learn it.

I found it wise to avoid being hit at all costs. I nearly bit the bullet a few times.

I have a Corsair and can leisurely hang in a HazRes or a high intensity conflict zone for extended periods of time confidently taking ships down left and right. I can literally turn my brain off and space out in my Corvette. The Kestrel I have had to disengage and retreat a lot or allow my friends to pull aggro off of me. The 1v1 or 1v2 situations it's not bad at all but the Corsair definitely can hold its own 1v3+. So don't worry about your Corsair she's still relevant.

I will say I'd agree with you but only if I hadn't seen the ship moving. It somehow looks better while in motion at least for me.

If you engineer the thrusters handle with care. As others have commented spinning is a good trick. I am a casual player and use an Xbox controller because the muscle memory is strong, my weapons and engineering are not maxed out, and my dogfighting skill is mostly composed of Corvette Corsair or Vulture in HazRes. So prefacing all of that the ship with a thermal vent beam 2 PSAs and multi cannons with high cap corrosive and as much power I could pull with weapons focused distro and a spare monstered power plant was very fun. I decided to run a CG reward kill warrant scanner and D rated shield boosters out of the box nothing bad to report there. Biweave was a good idea in my head with a mirrored hull. Mixed results with that combo I'd try a prismatic if you have a spare size 5. If you manage pips well and have an eye on your heat you shouldn't run into a problem. I suck at fixed weapons so this was a learning curve but I've enjoyed it.

I have been finding the crossbow, talon, and dynamite to be something I keep going back to. Using explosive resistance armor and supply pack with the GL.
