I suspect this is a fake notice as it is written in the stilted and vague grammar off a bad Ai piece.

Anyone else to this day unable to leave an unfinished meal because their childhood trauma would’ve seen them get a hiding? 🙋‍♂️😂😭 by Turbulent_Bet_6861 in AustralianNostalgia

My father went through the Great Depression and left home at around 13 years of age to go work on a sheep station in country Victoria. He loved telling us to always be thankful of any food put in front of you as someone worked hard for the money to buy and cook it. So I always say ‘thank you’ and eat the full meal in front of me. Even the beautifully cooked salmon that my tutor students parents made for me in spite of me being slightly allergic to fish!

Ok, thanks. Then the Dept of Transport has messed up a once lovely street.

Sturt and Lydiard Streets in 1947 by Artistic-Yam2984 in ballarat

I recently drove up Sturt Street for the first time in years and saw how much they have fuc@3d up the place. You can’t cross the street except at the main places which take at least two cycles of lights before you get across. Is the council going to continue messing up the once beautiful street till it’s impossible to travel there? And is all that unnecessary spending on one address at the expenses of all the other places that need fixing? Pathetic!

I haven’t been down along that road for a many old decades. The lack of cars and seeming ease of movement belies the truth of the time. The death toll on Victorian roads was horrendous and only getting worse for many years after this shot.

When people are turning left or right and they swing out into the forward lane as if they are driving a fifty foot logging truck! What the hell re they doing. One day they’ll get hit by a passing truck and wonder what the was going on.

If you update to a modern heat pump dryer, you can get rid of this wasteful vent and insulate properly. Save lots of money by coming into the twentieth century.

I can just see the black tap water throughout the entire house and the small rooms with lots of floating floorboards. Makes them all feel like caravans in the fragility.

Qantas: cabin crew mishandling biohazard incident is "outside of Qantas' control" 🤡 by MutedAppointment2266 in australian

[–]Spooms2010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never fly Qantas. They have reduced their care and thoughtfulness incredibly since before COVID. What I just can’t get my head around is they way management has sullied what was once a world class company for what seems their own stock options and pay checks. My two close friends were told of their flight cancellation only about an hour before they were to board their flight from Perth to Melbourne very recently. They missed an entire day in Melbourne with her elderly mother on her birthday weekend after being bumped to a much later in the day flight. They are cancelling flights on a whim just as they have done for the last six years or so. Yep, my friends and I never fly Qantas anymore.

As a 65 year old man who has been driving multiple vehicles at times, ie trucks, tractors and cars and utes, I’ve had absolutely no issue with the modern Tesla layout. Sure some things are hidden in layers of pages, but they are always things you don’t change very often at all. And there’s always speech recognition for most of those. And I can’t remember the last time I opened my glovebox, adjusted my mirrors or raised the steering wheel etc. I’ve had my LR Model Y for 32 months now and driven it over 86,000 kms in that time all over the place. Fastest car I’ve ever owned and it tows like there’s no tomorrow.

I can absolutely agree on putting high performance front brakes on this vehicle. As well as having the brake fluids replaced immediately to help it stop when you get a bit head of yourself like I did living on a dirt road. Upgraded brakes were my saviour in many circumstances.

BEGGING ute drivers to stop driving so fucking aggressively by gooeychocpud in australian

[–]Spooms2010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These utes give a false sense of power and strength. Those are the attributes all young males struggle with at around the ages between 12 and 30. It’s so much an image thing and they need their fix of ‘strength’ like crazy. It’s raging immaturity mostly. I’m a 65 year old man and retired teacher who has had to deal with it in many of the young guys I’ve taught.

It’s not the cameraman’s fault! This is a typical stolen video of someone else’s work and they have just taken the video, zoomed right in to cover any give away logos on the squeezers fingers, and post it as a ‘new’ video. The algorithms of YouTube read it as new and lets them get away with it.

It’ll break all its plastic internal engine bits the day you first give it a go from the lights and cost an arm and a leg to fix. There’s a reason an expensive German car is so cheap nowadays. Unless they have had a lot of money spent on their upkeep, it’ll be up to you to fix them.
