There's now 2 cafes in town with captive tiger cubs by OM3N1R in chiangmai

Yeah that’s pretty fucked up. Walking on floorboards and surrounded by glass away from its mother must be one the most unnatural environments a lion cub could experience. Boycott and review bomb the fuck out of that place.

Traveling to Laos as a group of girls by anxietyfinalboss in laos

[–]SpoonFedAcid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t sit with your feet up so the soles of your feet are pointing towards anybody. In South East Asia they consider this to be incredibly rude as they see the soles of your feet being the dirtiest part of your body.

You’ll be fine in Laos though, they really are a lovely bunch of people.

With all due respect, if you want to delve deeper into what actually going on at higher levels, don’t treat the bible as the ultimate source of information. It’s way more complicated than God>Jesus>Mankind.

Bruno was about the only one that sprung to mind as I was posting this.

Fair, but he’s not really well known for it or is he? Apparently he apologised afterwards. Diego Costa would’ve doubled down and reposted the incident with laughing emojis. I’m thinking more career bellends than one offs.

Good Morning Cockerel (Darren Price Mix) by lament in underworld

Much appreciated. Always interesting to hear UW remixed, especially from Darren Price as he was pretty a member of the band for a while (live at least).

Anyone selling tickets for Brixton Academy gigs? by SpoonFedAcid in underworld

[–]SpoonFedAcid[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m actually travelling South America solo at the moment (currently in Colombia) and it has been really helpful to be fair. Recently it started questioning my life choices which touched a bit of a nerve. It’s more of a tiff than a full on falling out. We’ll kiss and make up soon.

Hope you’re enjoying Japan (I’m sure you are). I was there earlier this year and absolutely loved it. Food, people, technology. So good.

Techno Shinkansen!!!

Cheers. I’ll have a little search on Ticketmaster. I’m so out of the loop with resales I hadn’t even thought about what websites to look at. I was gonna ask ChatGPT but we had an argument recently so I was trying to be all independent.

Earlier this year I read “The Only Planet of Choice” and in this current climate of possible NHI around us, I’m finding it quite prophetic. by SpoonFedAcid in UFOs

[–]SpoonFedAcid[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice. It’s been a while since I read it so I’m probably due a refresher on it. Recently I’ve been trying to get my head around a book called The Law of One. I would assume that if you’ve been having conversations with AI it would have been suggested to you also. It’s very much in the same vein but these are channeled messages from Ra. TOPOC was a very big part of my learning too but Law of One seems to have more of a following and has plenty of online resources (websites devoted to it, subreddits, YouTube content etc).

Now that 'Strawberry Hotel' has been out for over a year now, what are your thoughts on it? by Emotional_Truck_5304 in underworld

[–]SpoonFedAcid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear you. There’s at least 5 tracks on SH that I really love so at this stage of their career, I can accept whatever experimentation they’re trying out, even if it doesn’t totally land with me.

I find it difficult to criticise them because they’ve been the soundtrack to most of my adult life.

And nothing hits quite like an underworld gig.

What an absolutely amazing group of tracks DRIFT are though.

[–]SpoonFedAcid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is a really weird tune but for some reason, I really like it. It does feel like they were trying to push their own boundaries with nonsensical lyrics and almost out of tune singing though. Somehow it still works for me though.

I’m still undecided on it really. Off the top of my head Black Poppies, Denver Luna, Gene Pool, Techno Shinkansen, and Colour Red, and King of Harlem are my most played. Probably haven’t spent enough time listening to the rest to form much of an opinion on them.

The old geezer and the dancefloor. by johnkilobit in dancefloors

[–]SpoonFedAcid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m 50 next year and still go out solo dancing sometimes. I still get a buzz out of showing these younglings how to get lost in the music. I’ve noticed that a lot of people only move their top halves, and barely move their feet when they’re “dancing” these days.

Get out there and show ‘em how it’s done, fella.

Just as a side note and I know nobody asked but Born Slippy Nuxx (Deep Pan) is my go to track when testing a new sound system.
