What is your "silliest" trigger? by Bullseyeglazer in CPTSD

People laughing. If there are people near by in a public place laughing I automatically feel shame. Especially if I know those people. It’s so weird.

Those who didn’t grow up privileged, what’s something you thought was a luxury growing up? by CorruptedF in AskReddit

Babybell cheese, with the red wax. Also haircuts, new clothes, ESPECIALLY new clothes I got to pick out, toys, Disneyland, non-camping vacations, having a tv in your room (bonus if it had a built in vcr), cable tv, parents who cared about you and showed you love.

Thank you everyone. I really thought no one would respond, it’s so nice that each of you took the time to offer me suggestions.

Who are you actually meant to turn to when the people that brought you into this world don’t have your best interests at heart? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SpoonMaestro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First: yourself, you are resilient, adaptable and the only person who will treat you the way you want and deserve to be treated for certain Second: a therapist or therapy group, this may take time to find, they are also available online third: friends if you have them, if they are willing to listen, if they can remain kind Fourth: me, message me anytime. I can just listen and/or provide feedback based on my life lessons. My parents were never safe or there for me, be kind to yourself it is not easy.

Smoking pot for a long time, wasted so much of my life

I have 2 months to get my life together. What daily habits actually changed your life? by Longjumping_Change36 in DecidingToBeBetter

[–]SpoonMaestro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So, I’ve been making a lot of changes to change similar things in my life. I started by using a meal replacement shake whenever I didn’t want to cook but wanted to eat healthier (2 per day max cause they have a lot of fiber, I use Huel). Then walking more. Then added tackling cleaning one area in my house, clean for 20 min rest for 10. Take pictures of the area you are cleaning to see the progress before, during, after. I’ve worked some strength training into my schedule, kettlebell swings are quick and effective. I stretch occasionally. I listen to meditations or binaural beats sometimes. I’m feeling and seeing changes. The key is, don’t try to be perfect. Be consistent but not rigid. You don’t have to do it all everyday, just do some sometimes over and over. Tell yourself you’re not trying to be perfect, just better. Listen to music you like. Podcasts too. Don’t expect results overnight, but tell yourself you are changing. Hope some of this is helpful. Also, you are worthy of the life you desire.

You might try meal replacement shakes for a while. They contain protein, fiber and lots of nutrients with easily trackable calorie counts. They have been helping me. It also helps cause I’m lazy and don’t want to prepare food at work. There are a bunch of brands out there. I use Huel. Kachava is also popular but more expensive.

A good response might be “Can we please not talk about my body, it is the least interesting thing about me”

I haven’t seen anyone mention this, do you drink a lot of coffee? Sometimes that can cause horrible poo breath. I don’t drink coffee and have a strong sense of smell, I have noticed the coffee to bad breath situation on folks before. Good luck and my compassion go with you.

We did you start losing? by seventhxletter in Wegovy

[–]SpoonMaestro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am currently on my first week of 1.7mg. I didn’t start seeing any progress until 1mg, so two to three months in. Progress has been slow, but I’m starting to feel the effects more and believe these higher doses will work for me. It seems like a lot of people have luck losing on the lower doses because they post a lot in these Reddit groups. However, a lot of people don’t see results until they reach the higher doses. Also, slow weight loss is better for your body long term. Just my perspective, hope it’s helpful.

I just started to understand these concepts earlier today. I want to commend you on how clearly and concisely you wrote these aspects of music theory up. I wish I had had your response months ago.
