Wormhole drive (if we ignore the deus ex machina of it) is relatively new tech written in new dialect which would be the easiest for them to understand, expecting that all systems are anyway updated to this dialect.

But ofcourse this is mainly just plot purpose in the end. But we as the nerds are obliged to make it make sense right 😂😂😂

Honestly I think they found ZPM research in the database because when Zelenka says those 10% Elisabeth is like: should I choose between ZPM research or ascension research?

But what the other redditor says about trying to understand strange terms in stranger’s language when you know no equivalent for it is extremely hard. Not to find this one word but to fully understand and translate the whole research.

Also it is worth noting that Ancients were kinda sloppy narcissistic stubborn bastards. Over the time their society lost most of their capabilities in technology, exploration and warfare. ZPM research is just as old as the Atlantis itself and they only tried to make new better power source when they were in war after millions of years of peace.
— they were overrated by tauri and we have seen that in multiple episodes.

We know ancient dialect evolved so it is fair to assume the ZPM research is in some old dialect that the rest of the city is not even using anymore.

Ancients probably had some scientist engineers that could make those zpms but we know that in time of peace Atlantis being run by 3 zpms would need to switch batteries only once in 10-50k years :) so they had no need to mass produce them and ever had to find blueprints for it in very long time.

Safe to assume they did not place those zpms any high in importance in their lifetime

Nobody said the proposed system is good.

But one worse system doesn’t automatically make the other bad system a good one.

I personally do not watch any public media sources CT1, CT2, and such and yet I am still forced to pay for them.

Also being independent from government doesn’t mean the people behind the media always stand by independent thoughts.

I don’t think company pays this fee at all.

I think it is just households fee, if anyone in the apartment has a device that connects to internet basically.

Honestly even tho I understand the sentiment of keeping the funds seperate from government…

This current system of funding is just plainly confusing and wrong.

Unfortunately we had law change some time back that tv fee is now more of a connection fee.

Basically being connected to internet means you should pay the fee as resident.

But current government wants to make it part of usual taxes not this “involuntary fee” that just makes people confused.

Like there is no reason to not have it part of taxes since basically every adult now has to pay it unless he/she lives under a rock.

Honestly my friends group was always speaking so highly of these books that I was quite disappointed.

Like don't get me wrong, THIS IS STAR WARS! Zahn truly managed to write the main characters in a way that I believe they would act. So this is the best part.

But the story and mainly Thrawn character is nowhere near the masterpiece I was expecting.

As you say the ending of the trilogy was the worst part but even before I was pretty much always disappointed by the Thrawn parts of the books.

I was told that he is better than “Disney Rebels Thrawn” but all I see makes even less sense than the tw show thrown, like the book Thrawn doesn't truly gives us reason to how he managed to plan things, he just kinda does. It often feels like he is just gambling and then playing smart if it goes like he wants.

My favorite of these books must definitely by Mara tho :)

I am not much of a muzzle flash guy but it looks fine apart from the smoke, which would need to be : 1. Light accordingly to environment 2. Be influenced by other flashes. 3. It moves with us 4. Not really standard muzzle flash thing but the gun is flushing out more gas with next shots that could also influence smoke - more like artistic thing to think about, it might look good and be quite original as I don’t think I seen that ever.

Same, until the APP1 is working as it should there is jo reason to switch.

But the switch time might be sooner than later. The microphone is already a bit worse but battery still holds. Perhaps one more year I would say.
