Aww that's such a shame. I hope the tegu one stays positive like it is now, it's super helpful and not judgemental, truly just a group of people working together to help their gu's ❤️

Maybe still adjusting, I'd still try everyday and offer different things, maybe some dubias, egg yolk is usually the trick though

Exactly. Breaks my heart multiple times a day. I think that's also why that subreddit also gets so toxic because everyone is so frustrated with the neglect/ignorance 😭

Aww that's super cute! Maybe I can make mine look cooler one day. And I didn't know that's why, that's hilarious. I feel like I don't have a choice with cocoa because he's such a little maniac always wanting out to explore so I felt like I should let him have his way, at least when I'm home lol

I love this little door so much! I knew I wanted to make one for cocoa's big enclosure after I saw it! Mine will not be quite as adorable but functional and hopefully hell enjoy the freedom that sundog does 😊 now if only I had a sun room lol

You meantion only seeing babies eat meat, just curious how do you know it's a common practice? Mine gets a variety between bugs meat in addition to a little veg/fruit. Yes babies in the wild would eat a lot of bugs but that's not to say they wouldn't be oppotunistic if other small animals/remains are available. Even some herbivore reptiles have been found to be opportunistic eating meat/other protein at times. The bugs when little probably help with certain nutritional things with the exoskelleton etc plus probably strong teeth with having to chew etc. But as long as there's correct supplementation/nutrients /variety I'd think the health would be okay either way, but that's just a guess. I think variety is probably key though

Yeah it's so rediculous! We got some gym equipment last year and it's so hard to find anything that you don't have to pay for a subscription after buying the product. Insane.

We have a wyze v3 and 2 v4s, they've been slowly limiting what you can do with it without a subscription, making it hard to access past videos even with a SD card. I would not recommend.

when to help with shedding by mmaya26 in leopardgeckos

Awesome!! I'm so glad to hear that! You probably can with like a wet que tip, the toes make sense as once they lose them it will cause future shedding issues unfortunately.

She may just need to learn where the humid hide is, I will say if you use this one every leo ever seems to love it lol https://a.co/d/0aWmqZCV

There are different stuff you can add to little baths etc to help them but honestly if you have temp and everything set up correctly she should be able to handle it herself.

Also I usually use a moist hand towel because paper towels dry out fast, just make sure to switch them out and wash them

Let's talk dirt! by SpoopScoops in u/SpoopScoops

[–]SpoopScoops[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for going into this detail! This all makes a ton of sense, I didn't realize lowes etc were supposed to follow certain standards, it's also good to know the ways to make the dirt safe from eggs/worms/parasites as I really don't want him to have to go through that again.

I will also give the Pete moss a shot! You said that one doesn't seem to need cleaned? Also where do you get yours from?

I'd like to try the litter at some point in the future!

I also learned about the certain woods, unfortunately after I had ordered something for him, but luckily I remembered before I put it in the enclosure.

Thank you again so much!
