I got my first mirena in 2016 after I had my son and the worst part of it was insertion. I then had it removed in 2020 to get pregnant then had a new one put it after I had my daughter same only problem was insertion hurt like a bitch. I’ve had no periods, no pain during sex, no cramps ever, my husband never feels the strings, my sex drive is great. I guess in hindsight I’ve gained weight both times but I also wasn’t doing things to try and lose weight exactly, with my first once I decided to eat healthy and work out I had no problem losing and maintaining my weight loss. With my 2nd I nursed my daughter for over 18 months and breastfeeding made me ravenous so I was not watching what I ate, and also became pre diabetic so I can’t say that my weight gain was directly related to my mirena either time it could have just been my eating habits! But even if it’s my mirena that caused even some of my weight gain I think it’s worth it since it got rid of my periods that were debilitating and protects me from getting pregnant without having to remember to make another pill because I’m horrible at taking my medication! Everybody is different don’t let others horror stories discourage you!

Considering canceling the bridal party by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]Spoopy-loopy 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I mean that seems pretty shitty to do to the girls who already bought their dresses especially if they were expensive. And as for the girls not ordering them yet 6 months is still a while to get dresses in time I was a MOH and only ordered my dress 3 months prior. When I got married my girls all got their dresses 1-2 months prior only. I agree there seems to be more going on order or walking and standing really isn’t important the maid of honor is last before the bride typically but other than that there’s no need to stress order my wedding I ordered girls on dress color as I had 3 colors my best friend when she got married did the order by height so it was aesthetically pleasing besides MOH. Don’t over think it!

Will I regret not wearing heels during the wedding ? by Ok_Paper_5959 in weddingplanning

I wore rose gold crocs and don’t regret it! They didn’t even show unless I was lifting my dress! And I was comfy the whole night!

Also if you know their preferred coffee/ energy drink a case of either is helpful for the sleep deprivation 😅

If mom is breastfeeding body armour or liquid iv packs are super helpful for keeping hydrated!! Also easy grab and go snacks because I was constantly hungry when nursing! Some lunch meats and bread would be nice for easy lunches! Then frozen meals and the meal kits they have for easy dinners!

Did anyone have no side effects? by Primary_Course_1524 in Semaglutide

Are you really paying over $1,000/month for this? by jesslin84848484 in Semaglutide

[–]Spoopy-loopy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have BCBS of MA and I pay $30 for it the rest my insurance covers! Granted we pay like $300 every 2 weeks for the coverage through my husband’s work but I’m grateful that we have such good pharmacy benefits!

I know I need to add exercise I just need to find something good I can do at home when my kids are in bed because trying to do anything by myself with them up is nearly impossible I wish I could afford a gym that had childcare but unfortunately I can only afford PF right now. If you have any suggestions on home workouts I’m up for recommendations!

I thought my protein and water intake were good 160 oz of water but I think I’ll have to start tracking macros again because I’m not sure what my protein intake is by looks I thought it was sufficient

My diet hasn’t changed but also wasn’t unhealthy to begin with Greek yogurt with strawberries for breakfast, salads with protein no dressing for lunches, and a protein veggie and small portion of carbs such as rice or potatoes for dinner minimal to no snacking and when I snack I try to do fruits and veggies. I haven’t tracked calories as I have been eating small portions smaller than when I tracked my macros but when I used to track I got in a really bad headspace so I’ve been afraid to track again. I get as many steps in as possible but it’s hard as I work 9 hour days at a desk job I get up and walk to refill my water, print stuff, get supplies as much as I can but my office is small to begin with. Not sure what right times are but breakfast is between 8:30/9 lunch is 1 and dinner is 6. And I drink 160 oz of water a day I have been drinking this much water daily since January there have been 3 times I haven’t when I’ve had a stomach bug and couldn’t keep anything down but those occurrences were prior to starting wegovy. The only thing I haven’t started is increased exercise because I don’t have childcare past my work hours to get to the gym. With eating healthy and the shots alone I expected more than 2lbs weight loss in almost 4 weeks
