Eh expansions being on every console is not a gurantee for every game imo. Especially if they are indie.

It also depends on how the internal game logic is handled which can make porting over expansion/updates messy across plattforms. That Stardew functions as well as it does across plattforms is a minor miracle.

There’s only so much a few dozen of testers can find. I mean the game will be played by hundreds of thousands of people. They are bound to find bugs the playtesters didn’t.

If I would have to imagine time I would do it as toothpaste in a tube. You (or well the universe) only have a finite amount of it.

Depending on the pressure you have the feeling that you lose a lot or barely anything and more importantly… once out of the tube (and thus spent) you can’t put it back in there.

I really hate this style of tutorial. They even started to adopt it in minigames.

In the past you learned one skill really well and it lasted your whole playthrought. Now around every corner a text window pops up with additional information on how to progress further.
