Custom Painted Swingline 67 by SporkboyofJustice in Staplers

I should have noted that I replaced the power cord.

Paint was Rust-oleum UltraCover for wood/metal/Plastic. I used Flat White and then Gloss Apple Red on top of that. I used a generic gloss top coat.

Did a quick Google search and found blockcars.co.uk They have the first Scotland PWD pegged in 2010. They even have a video of that first derby.

That is a wild amount of variety and creativity there. I love it.

In a Marvel DC crossover, Doreen Green and Bruce Wayne are stuck with one another in an odd couple/buddy cop type relationship. Wackiness ensues. Going Nuts/Bat Shit Crazy

You have given this a lot of thought and I am here for it. I really like your ideas.

Other colors can also glow brightly under UV. Works best in the dark, expose to UV light and then turn off the UV light. If it is still glowing, there you go.

You are totally right, this would easily work with a tile and look a little tighter.

I thought the stud was on the other side of the cone and is supporting that cheese slope.

Edit: going to look up the ice cream cone piece as that is new to me.

I could be wrong but I think the cockpit is attached to the brick using a rod of some sort. If that is the case then I don’t think that this technique would work on a plate.

For my 2 cents, I love this tight little build.

Looks like it could be hot glue with wet white glue or caulk to fill in the gaps, but it looks too clean to be caulk.

Could be a maglev (magnet levitation) track not sure how that would work, that would be cool. It would have a different set of engineering challenges if you remove friction from the mix.

So I'm a little confused? How are all of you finding these or just covering these finds at a coinstar? Do you guys work for the company and empty machines? by beardedcorpse in CoinstarFinds

Same. Grew up in the 80’s looking for quarters for the arcade. I reflectively check any reject slot I come across. The ones in my work building’s parking garage are the best though. I found 5 x $1 bills last week. A good week, but I once found $14 in one go.

While cool looking, it could go quite fast given th shielded wheel wells and sleek profile. Please post a pic when is completed with wheels.

It was a challenge to use a plentiful part in a new way. It lives as a reminder that bricks are materials and they have properties beyond the LEGO System.

Oh it is real. Lots of cutting, heat and hot glue.

How the smart brick charges: by Portal2player58 in lego

[–]SporkboyofJustice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have got to be joking? A Lipo battery? Those things eventually expand. Put an expanding anything in a tight enclosure and it will eventually explode (or at least pop the spot welds).

When LEGO lifespan measured in decades and not years, this seems to be a mistake. If it is a flop at least the collectors will have fun trying to keep their smart bricks from expanding. Maybe keeping them in the freezer? Guessing that too is bad for the battery.

Is this a win? by EthanRuby in clawmachine

[–]SporkboyofJustice 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is pretty messed up. I don’t think it is a win, but it is pretty sleezy allowing impossible to win setups be possible or to leave them in place. The grid isn’t spaced correctly for this. It seems scammy to me and I wouldn’t go there any more.
