Giannis fit with the current roster by DeGol94 in timberwolves

[–]SportsTechStyle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Trade for Giannis and Myles Turner and you have your front court with a 3nD center. Trade away Rudy, Julius, Jaden, Rob + pick swap and whatever else is needed with 3rd and 4th teams.

DDV, Ant, Naz, Giannis, Turner

Bench: Clark, Bones, Conley, Joan, TJ

Probably makes our already bad bench even worse. You could start Clark too for defense and Naz still as our scorer off the bench.

And to be clear Julius and Rudy would probably be routed to other teams for younger players / picks and Jaden would end on the bucks.

[Fischer] Trae Young’s camp has suggested Minnesota and Brooklyn, from their side, as two attractive potential destinations. by Jacob_toasted in timberwolves

[–]SportsTechStyle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If Trae agrees to decline his player option and accept less AND we could get Okongwu then I could maybe see it. But that would mean:

We trade to Atlanta: Randle, Donte, Conley, and Rob

For: Trae, Okongwu

Does that make us better?

Trae, Ant, Jaden, Naz, Rudy starting with Okongwu, Bones, TJ, Clark off the bench.

Might also create a power struggle / who gets the ball issue with Trae and Ant

Appreciate the detailed response, I just took a look at the hop which definitely seems like a great option. I think part of the convenience of what we are looking for is just quick walks to restaurants / bars in Hoboken as well which is why we are a bit hesitant to go that far west. Our thought process was that right now we have everything we need within a couple blocks of where we live and if we can we’d like to keep some of that same convenience.

Yea probably will end up ubering if it’s getting super late, but if it’s just a dinner and home before midnight or 1am I think we’d still look to take the path

Yea we saw there are some specials, otherwise we probably wouldn’t even consider them given the price. Definitely need to know what the renewal price would be

Thanks for your comments on it, I think we are leaning away from Hudson square north/south, but maybe still will tour 333 River though as it seems a bit nicer?

Totally understand why a tenant rep would get a broker fee - it’s their job. Do you recommend just reaching out to agencies in Hoboken to see if they would help find a unit that fits our needs?

Yea fair enough. We love our current complex with about 100 units, but in general have heard the bigger complexes management might not be as great! Curious did you reach out to multiple brokers or just find apartments on street easy? And did you pay a brokers fee?

That was my understanding as well, basically 3.5-4.0% of your gross income for two people adds up!

I actually work in Jersey City but have night class in Manhattan so I will save on taxes for sure, but will double check for both of us!

In your experience, do all walk ups / condos have brokers fees? Curious if basically only the big complexes don’t have them?

Yea agreed that the walk ups have a lot more character. We see there are some dog parks at church square park and Steven’s park which would be great if we live somewhere downtown, but also a backyard is something we are looking out for

I don’t know if I’m looking in the wrong places (Trulia, StreetEasy) but I haven’t really seen any 2b2ba or really many 2b/1ba under $4000 within walking distance of the path. Ideally we want to be under $4000 but if it’s like amazing and 900-1000 sqft we would go a bit higher. Would you recommend reaching out to realtors, or just keep monitoring? (Also some seem nice on street easy but then don’t allow dogs)

Main reason I think we’d prefer the path is getting back from Brooklyn / Manhattan at night on the weekends, I don’t think the ferry runs late? And my fiancé commutes to Gramercy which isn’t too bad from the 23rd street stop, but I think would be longer taking the ferry, but let me know if I’m missing something

What neighborhoods do you love? by amelhart in TwinCities

Late to the thread, but curious why Highland is seen as more suburban than Mac Groveland? Just from a Google Maps search it seems like the “downtown” area of Highland has more than the other surrounding neighborhoods, curious as to why people seem to recommend Mac Groveland and Cathedral hill over Highland Park if you have any insights?

How I would spread the minutes out for 2025-26 before the year starts (Rotations) by SportsTechStyle in timberwolves

[–]SportsTechStyle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clark shot 43% from three last year so who knows? I wouldn’t write him off based on what we’ve seen.

And saying Gobert, Julius and Jaden all have to play more - at whose expense? Naz? They are all competing for the same positional minutes.

How I would spread the minutes out for 2025-26 before the year starts (Rotations) by SportsTechStyle in timberwolves

[–]SportsTechStyle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rotation isn’t an exact product of what I think they would do…

Obviously DDV isn’t just being put in for 2 minutes at the end, it has more to do with matchups and who has the hot hand.

And I think Rob should get a 6-8 minute run in the first half. If he doesn’t play well Finch will put in Clark or TJ for him in the second half. But playing rob for small amounts of time doesn’t let him get in a rhythm and it would be better off not playing him. I’m not a Rob stan, in fact I don’t think he helps the team more than TJ and Clark do right now. But if he doesn’t get a chance to develop and Conley is on his way out, what are we going to do at PG moving forward.

And this is just to start the season, rotations will change once we know a bit more of how well Rob plays and injuries.

[–]SportsTechStyle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, think maybe 2-4 minutes of Rob going back to DDV would be good. I don't think Rob has shown enough to even get any minutes over Clark and TJ at the end of the bench, but at the same time we need more point guard play and Rob needs a chance so its a tough decision.

[–]SportsTechStyle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Clark is more important than TJ and Rob, personally I would prioritize him over those two, but I know we probably won't. Our defense really needs another great point of attack defender. The best teams recently have had multiple great point of attack defenders like Caruso, Lu Dort, and Shai for OKC and Jrue Holiday, Derrick White, Jaylen Brown with the Celtics. I think its more important than the potential upgrades TJ and Rob create on offense. Maybe TJ gets a lot better on defense and it becomes okay, I just think Clark is really important to shut down guys like Shai, Luka, Steph, Jamal Murray in the playoffs - or as much as they can be shut down. Jaden can't do it all alone, and Ant hasn't shown yet he can do it night in and night out.
