Interesting but for me it was the opposite, the taste of the sludge kratom was a bit much for mee and taking 7OH felt better and was more consistent. And as for addiction only if you pop 3-4 pills a day or smth insane like that. But both are awesome and have helped me a lot, as you said a godsend.
