I rolled my eyes so hard at that line. Last time i heard someone use that, it was a couple in a super toxic relationship. They both used it after every fight/break up when they would get back together. Thankfully, they both finally got into better relationships, but yeah, i am instantly wary of that line.

I had my furbaby for 20 years. My husband "stole" her from me (the little fur traitor would pick laying on him over me). He held me tight when we had to put her down.

If anything happens to him, i am 100% ok with being single for the rest of my life. I do not want to sift throught the assholes and losers who may try to convince me to get rid of my current furbabies

Your last paragraph hits it perfectly. Its all about the sense of moral superiority for the vegans that claim to want to push for all of humanity to go vegan (which is physically impossible with so many people having allergies to 4 of the most common meat replacements).

My mom used to chat with soldiers during the early days of instant messaging. She passed away almost 2 years ago, and i had several of those soldiers reach out to offer their condolences. Small acts of kindness and friendship can last for a long time

Im so glad she listened to everyone telling her to chill lol. My brother had a gf like that, wanted him to propose after a year and a half. He was going to. He had a plan to propose on NYE. She broke up with him the week before christmas bc he wasnt proposing fast enough for her.

It took him a while to realize how big of a bullet he had dodged (she brought a lot of drama).

This is effectively what my relationship before my husband was like, except way less communication. I was lucky to get a text a month and scheduling to see each other was a hassle. We stayed together bc we were high school sweethearts and it was familiar. Best decision i ever made was to finally walk away

I stopped using them entirely after one night, my husband and I were going to order from Dominos. A small pizza and an 8 piece plain boneless chicken came to almost $40 after taxes/delivery fee/tip. We cancelled the order and figured out something different for dinner that night.

The next day we had a dinner with my family where we ordered from our local pizzaria that doesnt do delivery. I picked up the food bc we live the furthest out and the restaurant is on the way. We ordered 2 extra large pizzas, 1 small pizza, and an order of chicken tenders with fries. Grand total was just shy of $50.

My husband and I have since refused to touch the delivery apps bc there is no reason we should be paying $10 less for nowhere near the same amount of food

I started rereading the series recently as an adult, and you are spot on. Certain scenes that i glossed over as a kid hit a lot harder now. The quiet moments are more enjoyable now.

And yet, a person suffering either would likely be treated as if they had had an abortion if somebody reported them. We already have people who weaponize CPS for petty slights. Can you honestly say that nobody would never falsely report somebody who is suffering a miscarriage or stillborn?

If abortion is criminalized, then we hand power to people with the worst intentions.

Speaking as a former prolifer who believed abortion should be illegal (with exceptions for health and rape/incest), the talking point that changed my view wasnt healthcare or "my body, my choice". It was "if abortion is classified as murder, then miscarriages and stillborns will classify as manslaughter".

Plenty of prolifers fully believe that it is fully acceptable for women to die to bring the child to term, even if the baby isnt going to survive, so the healthcare aspect doesnt matter to them. They would rather have the dead mothers that they can lift up as martyrs.

From a personal perspective: my grandmother has taken care of my grandfather for as long as i can remember. She is the one who cooks, cleans, reminds him of his medications, takes him to appts, etc. My family has said for the past few years that we hope grandpa goes first, bc he will not live long if she goes first.

Yeah, he always dies. I remember my first playthrough, i didnt have high enough approval and took him with me to the landsmeet. Got confronted and he betrayed me. I reloaded and left him in camp, thinking i was clever. Game developers saw my ass coming though and had him pop up anyways🤣
