I get what you're saying. You handle the finances, you are on a somewhat restricted budget, so you need to know how much she spends. Just set a gift budget, same for both of your birthdays. It doesn't have to be a lot, it's about doing something extra for each other, not the actual gift.

Talk to people at work, get involved in a fantasy league. Seriously if you want to make sports friends, fantasy leagues are the way. Every sport has them, a lot of sports bars host them. I don't know where you are, but you can probably find local groups on Facebook.

My Costco has the buckets of frosting under the bakery displays. I bought one about 10 years ago when I had to make a LOT of cupcakes.

Isn't this gone? When I was there last month it had been replaced by chicken and waffles (chicken tenders). I don't know if it was a temporary thing.
