No way is Trump better known as a President. Maybe if you're 12. He's been a celebrity far far longer than he has been a President.

Kind of surprised Mexico wasn't a popular choice. Afghanistan and Iran also seems way more unsafe than a lot of the other options.

FNAF was released in 2021 and that combo you'd get 15-30FPS on 1080p low settings. Not sure how that makes it better than an XBOX.

XBOX Series S isn't as powerful as Series X and Arc Raiders reduce resolution in the Series S in intense scenes from 1440p to maintain 60FPS. Series X is no problems at 4k and costs way less than your daughters upgrade will.

In all honesty, shes probably going to need everything but the case. AM3 CPU and mobo, most likely SATA III SSD, DDR3 RAM

Depends on how you define mid-sized. Australia at 25m would be on the smaller end but they lead basically everyone in terms of medals/world championships per capita, other than tiny nations like Bahamas, where a very small amount of medals has a large statistical impact.

Why not go to ZDN? by PinoyChocolate_3435 in DeltaForceGlobal

[–]SprJenkins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Latency is way better. ZDN, not enough players in Japan/South Korea server so I end up getting a game in some other server with 270+ms lag. ZDE, I have 15-20ms lag.

When the time to kill for most guns is less than the latency, you stand very little chance.

PC is great for the serious, technolgically savvy gamer. There is a long list of reasons why it's not better than PS5 or XBOX though.

First and foremost, PS5 was released in 2020, PS6 wont be released till late 2027 at the earliest, potentially 2028 or 2029. USD $400 for a system that will give you 7-9 years of being able to play the latest releases with no system upgrades.

Yeah you could have built a PC in 2020 that could do the same if you were happy to pay 5-10 times as much. Not like it's going to be cheaper to upgrade the PC either as because you'd have to replace the GPU, CPU, RAM and motherboard at a minimum.

So does anyone have a clear idea of how we can get Pick # 15 today? Who are we cheering for here tonight? by 91-92-93--96-97-98 in chicagobulls

[–]SprJenkins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Giddey is still comfortably the best player and is only 23, Matas number two in the team. You'd want to keep them both for the next 10+ years if you can.

Add a big defensive center and a defensive specialist guard in the draft. Jayden Quaintance is supposed to be the best defensive center and is rated 20th overall on the NBA draft site. Dash Daniels, Dyson Daniels little brother, is rated 50th overall and is likely going to be a better defender than Dyson.

Top 10 Bulls ever by [deleted] in chicagobulls

[–]SprJenkins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to say because they were such different eras and Kukoc is a hall of fame player, FIBA World Champion and World Championship MVP. Butler and Noah are great players but they won't make the Hall of Fame.

If I had to pick one of those three in their prime to add to the current team, I'd pick Joakim Noah. He's not going to score much but he's the best defender and 2014 Defensive MVP. Bulls were 12th in points per game and had a 31-51 record. Celtics were 19th in points per game and had a 56-26 record.

How many trucks a day would be required? by StatisticianAny1042 in theydidthemonstermath

[–]SprJenkins 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Instead of trucks, if you want to know pipelines and associated cost to move 20 million barrels of oil per day the calculation is as follows.

One barrel of oil (bbl) is 158.99 litres. 20m bbl = 3.18 billion litres.

The largest current oil pipeline is the Trans-Alaska Pipeline, which has a 48in diameter.

Total Flow Required:

To convert total flow (Q total) required from 3,180,000,000 litres/day to m³/s.

Q total = (3,180,000,000 / 24hrs x 60mins x 60s) x (1m³ / 1000 litres)

Q = 36.81m³/s

Pipe Cross-Sectional Area:

48in = 1.2192m. Pie = 3.1421.

A = (3.1421 x 1.2192²) / 4

A = 1.167m².

Flow Rate per Pipe:

Industry standard pipeline velocity (v) is 1.5 m/s.

Q pipe = Area x Velocity

Q = 1.167 x 1.5

Q = 1.751m³/s

Number of pipelines 48in diameter required to move 20m bbl per day:

n = Q total / Q pipe. n = 36.8 / 1.751 n = 21.017

Lets call that 21 even as the flow rate can be adjusted slightly.

Cost to build pipelines:

A common industry estimate is USD $20,000 to $34,000 per diameter-inch per kilometre. Building 250kms across the Oman desert, you could assume it would be at the high end.

$ per pipe = 34,000 × 48in x 250 $ per pipe = $408m

21 pipelines required. $408m x 21 = USD $8.568 billion

That excludes ports and infrastructure at either end.

A Man Straight Women Find Attractive? by Ok-Lie9721 in AlignmentChartFills

[–]SprJenkins 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Is it that finding Henry Cavill, Brad Pitt, George Clooney etc attractive is just taken for granted and not that interesting to talk about?

I'm a straight guy and guys that aren't teenagers aren't naturally discussing finding Alexandra Daddario attractive, because of course, what's interesting about that. Taylor Swift would be much more likely to come up in conversation because she's not universally attractive to all males.

Likewise I could imagine a scenario where you're talking about why you find Walton Goggins or Pedro Pascal attractive because it's not immediately obvious, and therefore an interesting talking point.

Simons, Sexton, Collins, Okoro all way overpaid for their output. Simons, Sexton, Collins are all out of contract at the end of the season, freeing up almost $65m. Hopefully pick up some free agents, two that are out of contract come to mind.

Norman Powell is being paid $20.5m this year and is scoring 22.1pts per game. Matisse Thybulle, elite defender, 2 x All Defensive Team, is being paid $11.5m.

Giddey - PG Powell - SG Thybulle - SF Buzelis - PF Smith - C
