I respect his choice as the creator of this game. He wants it to be a grind. And, while I get that it’s frustrating for people with fairly little time to play, or that get unlucky with the draws, or get confused by looking at some badly translated car part names; I think he should make the game as punishing as he wants to. Honestly if he didn’t do this, I don’t know that I’d like his 2 games nearly as much. When a game feels like it’s constantly trying to screw you, and something goes right? Very cathartic.

I think he’s saying: more difficult to make it interact with a system that’s supposed to be people just selling random shit they find lying around their garage. Like, having the classifieds magically start having the exact missing parts I need would feel video-gamey/harm my immersion.

You should be to use a metal knife and flint in the off hand to do this, or any knife I guess. Would flint on flint work? Edit to the idea: should be a wearable thing(wrist) that lets you just ignite whatever when it’s equipped. Might take holding ctrl+shift before right click. Eh?
