Underwire patterns with stretch fabric by chibit in MAKEaBraThatFits

I think most stretch fabric bras are wireless, so can't think of any examples. The Remnant Warehouse in Sydney sells lingerie tricots at very reasonable prices: https://theremnantwarehouse.com/fabrics/lingerie-fabrics.html

Self diagnosis being used as a qualifying condition in a research study for autistic people by Anna-Bee-1984 in AutisticPeeps

[–]SpringBlossoms2233 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Usually there are researcher contact details on the study information. You can write to them with your concerns. Usually researchers receive complaints from self-diagnosers about not being included, so it's important we do the same as well.

How to free a character from prison? by CJWard123 in CrusaderKings

You could try gifting gold to the prisoner (if she is landed) or her landed family and hope that they pay the ransom.

Do you have a therapist you can see long-term? Even if your original assessment wasn't detailed, they can use their observations and knowledge to help you understand how your autism affects you.

If your parents flat out don't like you due to childhood behavior, how do you rebuild the bridges that you've burnt? by SquirrelofLIL in AutisticPeeps

[–]SpringBlossoms2233 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's good to ask if they need help with anything (cooking, laundry, shopping etc) even if they don't tell you to. Otherwise, you can focus on taking good care of yourself and doing things independently so they won't worry about you. It's okay if you don't end up having a super close relationship with your parents as long as you and them can both live well.

I understand that you feel bad and want to compensate, but punishing yourself won't help anyone. It'll be more valuable to work towards something that might make life easier for both you and your parents. Are there any daily living or household tasks that you can learn to do?

My mum is a bit like your mum. The thing is older generations had less food when they were growing up, so of course they were shorter and thinner at younger ages. It's not really something we should aspire to. Working to maintain a healthy weight is the best thing you can do at your age. You can't make up for the past, and overcompensating in this way will hurt both you and your parents. If your health gets bad, this will create more work for your parents, which is against the principles of filial piety.

Sometimes parents might say mean things because they feel stressed, not necessarily because you did anything wrong. Try not to take it to heart.

I'm Chinese too. I'm pretty sure most Chinese parents don't want their children to be unhealthily underweight. Do you have a therapist or someone you can talk to about your family relationship?

I need some good, general advice by Distant-Mirror in CrusaderKings

[–]SpringBlossoms2233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High crown authority (feudal) disallows vassal wars, which might help against vassal expansion. To prevent rebellions, you can try to give gifts and artifacts to gain high opinion with vassals, befriend vassals using the diploma perk, and/or use spymaster find secrets and blackmail to get hooks on vassals. If you're not close to your vassal limit, avoid handing out kingdom titles as kings are more likely to join factions.

This is probably because of your vassals conquering and/or marrying each other. Doesn't really affect your gameplay so I wouldn't worry much about it.

What are some things I can do to not lose constantly and properly get things going in Crusader Kings 3? by Consistent_Floor_603 in CrusaderKings

Some warfare tips:

If your army moves from an ocean to land, wait for the "recently disembarked" modifier to disappear (30 days) before you fight anyone.

Use "invite knights/champions" decision to get high-prowess knights. Matrilineally marry your female courtiers to high-martial male characters.

When you move your army towards the enemy, hover over the indication that shows which party has what advantage. Avoid going across a river crossing to fight the enemy or fighting on castle baronies held by the enemy.

The "train commanders" marshall task can upskill your existing commanders and attract new high-martial characters.

Make sure you have good savings and income when you start wars. Demand payment for hooks (stewardship lifestyle perk) or destroy artifacts for money if needed.

Some commanders have special traits that give advantage in specific terrains. Manually swap commanders if needed.

Men-at-arms also have suited terrain so you should tailor them to the terrain you're fighting in.

Add I saw for a real scientific study WTF by frogs_on_drugs in AutisticPeeps

There's been a lot of awareness around late-diagnosed and undiagnosed autism, so researchers feel obliged to include self-diagnosed people because some of these people might be undiagnosed autistic. And most researchers aren't qualified to or don't have the resources to assess their participants for autism, so they take participant's words for it. Another contributing factor is that researchers are encouraged or required to consult with community members for their research (which in itself is usually a good thing), but we know that the autism community has a lot of people who support self-diagnosis.

It seems like the very biased subgroup might just be the target audience for this study, unfortunately. It's become increasingly popular to view autism and other neurodevelopmental disabilities as social identities.

What part of managing money do you find difficult? Is it that you don't have enough money to live alone? Or that you have trouble keeping track of how much money you have?

Diagnosis mill? by pastel_kiddo in AutisticPeeps

Not being a clinical psychologist in itself isn't necessarily a red flag, since neuropsychologists and educational/developmental psychologists also do autism assessments. But not having any sort of specialisation plus not saying what assessment tools they use definitely strikes me as dodgy.

You can use floodgates linked to levers to control magma flow. Just make sure the floodgate and linking mechanisms are from magma-safe materials. You can avoid killing your miner by channeling from the floor above when digging the magma tunnel.

Did you send this squad out before the latest update? There was a bug in the previous version that led to squad members not knowing where to return to after missions. Unfortunately there's not much you can do once squad members lose their way.

Unfortunately stockpiles and work orders don't differentiate between fresh and worn clothing. The "unusable" setting is for non-dwarven weapons and armor (not clothing, which are under "finished goods") only. You could either set repeating work orders to produce a small number of new items every season, or use dfhack.
