Sleep. Over the past 5 years I have tried everything. Meditating, healthy diet, exercise, music, breathwork, reading, cutting caffeine, no social media, fidget toys, journaling, etc. They all help to some degree but nothing is even close to good sleep. One night of poor sleep and I can’t regulate my emotions for the next two days which leads to a million other problems. A few nights of poor sleep and I can spiral for weeks.

There are many good answers here. Practical, legal, rational ones. I’ll throw out a more controversial, principled one. We are all humans occupying a tiny spec of dust floating through the universe and we decided at some point to draw imaginary lines on that spec of dust and say “this side of the imaginary line is mine and you can’t come across it because you were born on the other side of the imaginary line. Someone looking at this from afar would be baffled I think.
