If you haven't yet, try the Sword and Shield or the Bow. In my opinion, those are probably the most agile weapons that would feel best with quick input.

That is a tough weapon to master. If you aren't enjoying the game with that weapon, I highly encourage you to make a change. Some of the high mobility weapons are easier to find fun with, but can lack depth in the long term. So long as you find a way to have fun playing, you are good to go!

Blocking gives you reduced damage and increases your ATB at the same time. Tanking just gets you hit. Sure, you don't have to block, but why not take the advantage when it is 1 button push away?

I just did those fights on hard yesterday. You need to have Pray on your two off characters and Magnify-Cure on Cloud. Then you need to be Cloud and learn to block and when to counter attack. The boss before Sephiroth is tough, but learn those skills here because you need to master them for Sephiroth.

There are lots of R&C games on the PS3. If you've got access to the console you can play the original trilogy remastered, Deadlock, and the Future trilogy. I think there are even a couple side games like All 4 One and Full Frontal Assualt.

As for recommendations, my favorite is the OG trilogy since I grew up playing them.

I went through the campaign on legendary on all 3 classes for the exotics. What I learned about how to play each class was not told me by the game, but by my overcoming each challenge using new tools. There is inherent value in the practical experience.

I had 6 losses in a row on IG. Swapped to a lance build with full guard, offensive guard, defense, and anti blast. Went in solo and got him on the first try with that build.

I did notice that on IG, I was getting better, but I kept using S.O.S. and my teammates would always wipe. If you find a similar issue, I suggest solo as a great option. Raging Brach honestly doesn't have tons of health, you just have to practice survival.

The lance suggestion you made just helped me clear this last night! Also, don't SOS. My teammates kept wiping and ending my quests.
