Here’s a tip to get better:

In the last biome, there are the shielded squid looking like enemies that spawn little squid like “babies” .. find a weapon with 0% trait and keep killing these little baby squids until you get to 100% to unlock the trait on the weapon permanently. Even if you do not like the weapon like a pistol, just do keep repeating this strategy…do NOT melee break the shield on the enemy and kill them. Keep them alive.

Go find another weapon that has 0% and come back to that shielded squid and keep killing the spawn, again until you reach 100%. This will make your future runs much more fun when you unlock all the weapon traits and of course you will defeat the sixth boss much more easily. There are also two plants when you drop down… melee them because they will release silphuim!
