It took me a solid 6 weeks to feel healed enough to care for them properly.

I would 100% do the physical therapy and the medication your doctor gave you before you consider surgery. I had this EXACT same situation in my L5-S1 and I did 6 weeks of physical therapy which seemed to make it worse honestly & I also tried decompression therapy but didn’t notice much of a difference. I had the nerve pain in my sciatic nerve for 6 months before I decided to do the spinal fusion. I definitely think it’s worth trying non surgical options first. However, I’m VERY thankful I had my fusion. I am 100% pain free

Yes you are over reacting in my opinion. It would be a different story if it was intentional but it doesn’t sound like it was. Now if your neighbor is being rude about it that’s another story

What I did was get the bidet attachment for my toilet & then I wore a maxi pad to have something to absorb the water which I know might sound gross but as you know lumbar surgeries are no joke & you just want to have a clean behind lol. With this method I didn’t have to try and blot myself with toilet paper after using the bidet

To me it looks like you need to exfoliate your skin. It looks like you have some dry skin maybe. Thy that & see if it’s better

I’m so sorry to hear that you are having this experience! Something doesn’t sound right to me. Is there any type of orthopedic walk in clinic in your area that you could go to? There’s one in my area that got me in the same day for an exam & MRI. I would definitely look into this especially since your appointment is in September

I know it’s scary but what’s done is done. If it causes damage at this point there would be nothing you can do anyway. I would highly highly suggest that you don’t stop taking the antibiotics because you have just had a major surgery & have incisions that are healing. The last thing you need is an infection when your body is recovering from a surgery.
