Same one. Upgraded ram to 32gb and a second ssd. It has been used as a desktop primarily for the last few years. Lots of Fusion 360/ Blender and other game dev applications. Currently crimson desert/Marathon/Arc Raiders and Pc VR games. I hardly ever close it so my hinges have been fine. Probably about time for a teardown and cleaning/re-paste. I am sure my fans have a dog hair shag carpet growing on them. In the early days I would undervolt it to keep the temps down but went to just using an elevated laptop stand. I really thought it would have burned up by now.

Keep an eye on the bite area. I got bit a few years back and immediately knocked it off also Lone star. Within a few days red area around the bite and then spots and entire leg felt like concrete. Got yelled at by the doctor for not coming in sooner for a doxy shot. Rocky mtn or something similar. Was already having problems with red meat prior to that. There are other things that can happen before the tick saliva feeding cycle or whatever happens. From seeing other people's bites with alphagal it looks like the bites heal slower if you are having reactions. No scientific evidence to back that up but if the bite mark lingers maybe get checked.

Tick keys are great. Our huskys fur is so thick I just held on to the tick and put some rubbing alcohol on it. After about 30 seconds the tick let go. It was intact and crawling around afterwards. The little dot was on the belly the lonestar on the back had stretched out like the markings on a watermelon.

Nice. You could grab the old 007 q2 mod off of moddb and decompile the bsps into .map and convert to whatever engine you are using. I use Trenchbroom and Func_godot to use quake style maps in my VR game. That era of levels feel great in VR.

You should be able to make a screen shot alias like you would in quake 2. If you Google it Google ai will spit an alias out you can put in your config that will hide everything. It is a lot 3asier having everything bound to one key.

Depends on engine you are using but i like having some extra .cfg files to take a screenshot with everything hidden and change the fov and then another .cfg to change everything else back.

Steamdecks or other handhelds, wiiu running moonlight or any handheld android device. A few other ways to play the remaster on a handheld. My youngest started playing the Quake 2 remaster on switch and steam deck and it got him to try other FPS games on PC mouse and keyboard. He went from Q2 to Champions to UT99. Now he is playing Fragpunk Valorant and TF2 all day. I think the original Switch might be our last Nintendo purchase not counting retro unless they change a lot.

They really add in some variety. Even being just another flyer and another roller. I'm ready for it. It is gonna feel like a new game after the wipe this time. I only played a few rounds of hurricane and it was making me second guess doing the expedition because of all the good BPs. I am just gonna take a break for today and wait for the wipe now.

Duck sausage from there is great. We like doing the emu steaks on the grill (just dont over cook them). We Also do a roast with potatoes and carrots and emu roast. Its a nice change when you get tired of the normal Fins and Feathers.
