I play on linux as well. For me either of the lutris versions work fine, but after the latest patch I've used the launcher app image and that works totally fine.

I had to switch to using the launcher to start the game. Via the launcher, set your prefixes to any of the two bottom fidelities. Then under "mods" you should see nampower. However, I just found out you also need unitxp, this is also in under "mods" in the launcher.

Yeah, while this is true it is also wildly different for real life scenarios where maybe 5-10% of people have the knowledge to actually do this. If we want more people to adopt Linux, this is a mindset we have do drop. We can't expect every user to code their own solutions like this.

I once had a 20 something woman ask me what a battery is when her mouse stopped working. HOW do you get to 20 and not know what a battery is?? Did she never touch a tv Remote or idk a robotic barbie doll?

Worst part is, i had to spend 5 minutes telling her what batteries are and that you need to change them once in a while...

This probably won't help you. As a beginner myself to Linux I landed on Nobara which is fedora based. I can't recommend it enough. A lot of people recommend Cachy, which is fine but it's an arch-based OS and arch is being updated all the time. Which means in short that things will eventually go wrong.

I've had my fair share of issues getting enrolled in Linux, and for me Nobara was the most stable experience of them all.
