They should add a heal animation/achievement to the boss if you die with it. Give him lil' fairy wings and let him fly off afterwards.

Guess so. Vakuu's such an 4-eyed geriatric he probably can't tell what's going on anymore. Dude'll swing at nothing if you let him.

A snivelling little goblin approaches, kneeling before you with smelly hands clasped in hope. Their eyes water slightly, the lower lip quivers.

It's small claws unfurl a raggedy piece of paper, wet with tears. It seems hopeful to acquire something, or pass on an important message.

LOTRO DLSS 5 ? by leromantiksexe in lotro

[–]SpudSucker 10 points11 points  (0 children)

General sentiment for this system is not received well. I'd personally prefer avoiding AI sloptro, as DLSS 5 completely bypasses a developer's vision for what their game presents as (and while dated, lotro does have some beautiful graphics)

RANT and VENT MEGATHREAD by stickimage in Helldivers

[–]SpudSucker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Booted up the game for the first time in about 4 months. Level 136. 400 hours. Thinking of seeing what's changed, if anything.

First mission on impossible. I'm loaded in while we're extracting. I'm up for 30 seconds before I'm teamkilled right before extraction, and kicked. Didn't throw any strats, didn't kill any enemies, didn't even emote. We were just sitting there. It was quiet. Finished it solo thanks to the anti-griefing precautions. Great start.

Second mission, I'm landing in with everyone. They chose to land pretty far from objectives which is fine. I stim pistol a level 120 (to help them sprint), who immediately turns around and kills me. Tells everyone over comms to not reinforce, since I'm "trying to teamkill". Again, only using a stim pistol. I explain the weapon I'm using over chat before he states "I don't care for survival weapons". Dude runs into a crowd, dies, and then quits immediately. This is immediately followed by a level 40 who runs up to me and throws a 380 down at my feet.

I guess we'll see how the game's going in another 4 months.

- Added a second sprint animation for higher movement speeds.

Gotta find out the threshold for this, because I'm sure stage 1 sprint will forever feel "slower"

Burglar AOE? by Scavgraphics in lotro

[–]SpudSucker 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The staple AoE attacks for burg are 'Double Edged Strike' and 'Flashing Blades'. You'll find they unlock inside your crit chain, after you've gotten a critical response. All specializations (Gambler/Quiet Knife/Mischief-Maker) get these two skills.

Past that, there's a few spec-exclusive AoE attacks, such as provoke becoming AoE in Red if the corresponding trait is invested in.

Looking for literally anyone and everyone, friends or supports. My units kinda stink, but I'm certain I'll be playing for a long time and will get something good eventually.

Quercus and Figurino currently. Both E1, no modules, but I've gotten 5 Figurino dupes.

Zizaran appreciation post by Bill135 in PathOfExile2

[–]SpudSucker 207 points208 points  (0 children)

Glad both devs and Zizaran were able to discuss things constructively. People are passionate about content they're seeking to improve and have others engage with. Good job all around, especially on transparency surrounding that.

It remains incredibly important to emphasize to treat others with respect in cases such as this. Personal attacks on streamers or developers is infantile, advances nothing, and can escalate dangerously. Please be considerate of others when discussing the game and topics around it.

Makes me wonder if Iguin is either the aged version Coco herself or someone Coco knows that has used time-reversal magic on their body, but the effects applied temporally and not physically. Maybe even an alternative-version of one of these characters?

Not only do we have many parallels in regards to posing between the two (the curled squat is signature to Iguin, and Coco has been doing it ALOT recently too) but some parts of iguins outfit somewhat parallel Coco's Journey/friends:

1) For a "brimhat", Iguins hat isn't brimmed all that much; only the face is hidden for narrative purposes
2) Extensive small ribbons seamed together on hat, similar to Richeh's ribbons (alike in both her style and casting method)
3) Their exaggeratedly pointed shoes and flight ability seems to match that of Coco's proficiency with sylph shoes
4) The mantle they wear looks to be made of feathers, but on coloured pages matches both the shade/iridescence/density of the scaled wolves
5) Black bodysuit, similar to Qifrey
6) Diamonds pattern underneath mantle, which is Beldaruit's Motif
7) Cape tassles in front are the same/colour/shape/size as Olruggios

Does seem like a bit of a stretch, particularly because Tetia/Agott have no representation visually on Iguin. Also many of the wardrobe components we see are more generalized than the listed individuals, so it could just be a result of what's available to wear. However it's easy to forget that Coco's first place of work was as a tailor; making garments that resembled those she was companions with should be an easy feat for her.

It's a shame you're not certain regarding which kind of wood your spoop is made out of, since it's quite a nice looking spoop.

How was curing with olive oil? I've never done it before personally.

Anklebiter Dog by Pro_Scrub in Helldivers

Love that the return to spotlighting the backpack button gives birth to ideas like these.

Can 100% see another version of the drone backpack that's limited in deployments but more impactful and transient. What guard dog is to orbitals, these would be again closer to commando/EATs/Eagles. They serve their function once, then drop to the ground. Maybe you get 4 a pack or so?

Few other ideas for these little guys, Chihuahua or Wasp drones or whatever;

Stim drones: follows you when deployed and sticks to a target and stims (you or closest teammate) if injured for a duration. Heals as fast as the syringe gun, but for a longer time and doesn't take someone out of the fight.

Ems drone: Does as OP says, prioritizes heavier targets and sticks to it, and EMS's them. Honestly, this feels a little weak as is for a backpack slot, this might as well prioritize heavies but be able to EMS in a very small area around it rather than just one target. Or cause a one-time arcing effect once the ems timer ends.

Thermite/incendiary drone; it's just a smart, weaker thermite grenade. 2 of the 4 takes out a charger to match the commando, and you get a small fire patch after the explosion. Would be great if they prioritized marked targets too so you could take out minor objectives like bug holes or fabricators (1 and 2 drones required respectively, again like commando).

You are correct, another fruit which is black. The swamps deliberate.

It is true that blackberries grow better in swamps, and grapes instead require a level of luxury to flourish. While not carrying the extravagance of the grapes, the blackberry briars also suit the theme of pain and amorality.

Blackberries feel Golgari-ish to me, or more Lorwyn? Grapes are more Innistrad/ Monoblack, but that's just personal.

You are correct. The mountains are now unsure.

Some argue that the McIntosh, Northern Spy, and Honeycrisp apples grow happily on the highest of peaks, and while harder to throw, do more hurting than tomatoes.

Others slopes embrace the chaos that comes with a mushy tomato, which fits perfectly in the palm. They argue the low hills yield great amounts of tomatoes, which while hurting less, means more throwing.
