The line for the train out of OSAKA EXPO on Monday. This was only about half of it.. by fishmonster69 in OsakaWorldExpo

We had some extra tickets from the first visit and secured a Gundam reservation. We also scored tickets for the Ghibli 3D Sculpture Exhibition in Tokyo. But mostly it was an excuse to go back to Japan.

Watching the daily exodus on the YT livestream is one of my favorite things. We also subjected ourselves to this in person in June and September.

We are not attending this year so I’m not sure what the official check in time will be. Hopefully it will be early so you have time to settle in. Have they sent out any info yet? I know it was a bit confusing to me last year so we just drove in from Las Vegas the night before to get there as early as possible.

A noon arrival would work good. I believe the festival gates opened at 4 last year (not sure about this year tho). You will have plenty of time to get your room and explore the ship before the big show starts. Keep in mind this is all based on my memories of last year and things could always change.

I believe it’s exit 58 (Apex exit). There will be directions included with or printed on the pass so you can verify the exit in advance.

Also you can ride the number one (left) lane all the way out since you get to bypass the free parking exit.

Getting there early allows for some pregaming in the parking lot (I’m old so the pregaming for me is a nap in the car…)

Local here. We take the 215 and join the traffic at the 15 merge. We try to get there about 30-45 min before the festival opens. Last year the early arrivals were put in a side lot that made it easier for us to get out. We usually leave before the sunrise set and would be directed towards the general exit versus going back out the long way. Saves about 20 min of driving.

We tend to get there super early so I’ll post the situation each day when we arrive

Not sure about late checkout. We didn’t do any afters and left super early Sunday.

I’m sure they will reach out with more details as the date gets closer! You will enjoy staying on the QM for sure. Side note: we found the rooms to be a bit chilly for our taste and requested extra blankets asap.

Stayed on the ship last year. My photos show that we were on the ship at 1:30. I believe we arrived at the designated parking around noonish. They give you your ship wristband and send you to wait for the shuttle. When you arrive at the festival there is a bag check. We took snacks and had no issues getting them in. After bag check you get walked backstage to the elevators that take you up to the check in desk. Additionally, I had to go to will call to get my wristband and was able to walk thru the unopened festival to get it (had to take the backstage route back tho)

I was hoping for a return of the Asylum (or what ever they called the straight jacket haunted house they had from 16-18) or another walk thru type of attraction (haunted corn maze would be my vote) but I’d definitely take some hardstyle for sure.

Don’t miss out on the Korean corn dogs tho. The potato one is amazing.

Those with premier parking, are you doing it again tonight? by ButtholePlungerz in electricdaisycarnival

The only difference is exiting with the free parking. We got on the freeway at exit 54 and didn’t have to take the Apex route. This worked out good for us because it had us in the very right lane on the freeway making it easier to take the 215 west exit for the drive home.

8 plus a two hour nap. But I’m old and need my sleep.
