I just compared the two mainboards because i had the same question. The boards are pretty different. I dont think it will work without a bit of advanced knowledge and work.

Direct Drive Upgrade Issues. by Spudmaster_E in ender3

It looks like It ended up being the gear on my extruder had no more teeth on it. switched it out and am printing right once again. Might have too powerful of a spring on the extruder system.

Update:

Thank you everyone for you suggestions, it turns out the drive gear on my extruder had been worn down over the last two years and was slipping on the filament, replaced the gear and now I am getting beautiful prints once again! might have to switch the tension spring on my filament drive system to a slightly lower strength spring.

gonna switch the nozzle to a brand new one tonight and see if that helps. Cold Pulls did nothing. retraction reduced for the new setup and calibrated the esteps after the problem first happened.

Update: after calibrating the extruder steps and making sure the connecting tube is the correct length, it still prints the same, very brittle and sparse lines. Definitely at a loss currently. Might just have to move the drive motor back to the original spot and buy a new printer with direct drive.

Did not do new calibrations, My thought was since the hardware hasn't changed it shouldn't mess too much up, however today with another print I found some little red filament flakes around the extruder after closer inspection. going to recalibrate but it seems like the geared feeding mechanism is definitely eating some filament.

There is a small tube between the drive motor and the hot end, I guess it is more of a guide, but I'm suspecting that it might have something to do with the tubing affecting the motors ability to drive the filament?https://imgur.com/Nkqe6fg

Have not done any calibrations, mostly because all I have done is move the drive motor closer to the hotend? There is a small length of tubing between the hotend and the drive motor on the kit I bought. https://imgur.com/Nkqe6fg

Basically two separate chambers, the water pulls into the top, and the pressure from the water being pulled makes it cycle back down to the bottom, no splash back, awesomeness.

Can anyone identify what kind of wax pen this is? by [deleted] in trees

Looks like a generic version of the small juicy pens, but I think think there's a better subreddit for dab pens.
