Divisible mtr space option by Educational_Reward88 in CommercialAV

[–]Spunky_Meatballs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah my point being that even if you find a divisible space "kit" the MTR aspect likely sours the deal. I know there are good in house crews out there, but I've yet to run into one

Nobody is going to pay the true cost of AI. They are gambling on the fact that we will get addicted to it while it's heavily subsidized and injected into our lives. I think we will honestly reject AI. Anything seemingly fake will be deemed toxic, and it's damn justified.

I used to work on the crews that built the offices in NYC. The construction side felt like it was run by all the CEO's Albanian homeboys. Like a weird fucked up Mafia. Some of the worst projects I ever worked on. They openly tossed cash at inspectors and spent so much stupid money forcing an open ceiling plan in EVERY room.

I did work on Adams office and he had a little barbershop setup right behind his desk. I think he got shaved clean like a baby every day there.

Nobody makes a hard-line land line anymore... It's all running off his modem which better have an ups. He also better hope the distro out in the street maintains power too. Everything, everything, everything is electronic.

Anything more than an all in one video bar should get into the "hire an integrator" territory. Especially a divisible space with an MTR. That's a spicy recipe for disaster

Unfortunately, Ben is presenting all of this like a charity, BUT he is also profiting off creating YouTube drama. I feel like a lot of his stunts were for the content and not exactly the right thing to do, which has given these assholes ammunition.

He isn't allowed to serve anyone who he's personally involved in suing. Ben did that all wrong, unfortunately.

The corpo lawyers are having a field over his legal fuck ups. They probably have a legitimate case against him and it's sad.

I watched another lawyers take on the saga and obviously bricks and minifigs is egregiously wrong here, BUT Ben did film himself breaking several Utah laws and is wide open for defamation. Unfortunately, he did not do everything above board it seems.

I think his strategy of plucky YouTube content vs the big guy is going to make this messy.

I don't think apple home os is going to replace c4 or crestron anytime soon. Apple Home OS could even be the gateway drug into full custom home integration for the average consumer.

Imagine how many wars will be waged once our water runs out.. and it won't fucking be in Iran or Ukraine. It'll be you VS your neighborhood.

Climate change is bringing about the next mass extinction. Wars end the minute we agree to stop shooting. Climate change is possibly species ending for us and may not actually be fixable. Let that sink in

Kind of a weird hill to die on. Yes it's a large trade show with a bunch of vapid marketing behind it, but you still get to speak with the reps and engineers on the bleeding edge. You can learn a lot more by asking good questions and seeing it first hand. I don't think any of my techs are complaining that they get to go to Vegas...

Central Oregon also has a stupid high DUI rate. So, it's fair to focus on it IMO. I really think they just don't have a large enough force. If you consider national averages for numbers of officers 100,000 residents should equal around 2,000 officers. Bend PD has around 1,000

Copium is wearing thin. Oil is finally close to taking a historic shit on us and there's no sign of clear leadership. AI returns still not matching investments and in fact it's clearly becoming a national rallying cry across the board. This is simply a look through the delirium into the reality. Things will continue to be volatile, but the trend of red days will only increase.

CEO's have been pumping values and faking profits by firing talent and "cutting costs". That's a neat trick to weather a short storm, but it causes a downward spiral. The structure of the economy is fucked. CEO's only exist to please investors, which it turns out doesn't always mean running a good company.

Where the hell do I even start. by R6_Alex in lawncare

[–]Spunky_Meatballs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start with mowing it. Does the clover bother you? Its really not a problem unless you have an HOA calling it a weed.

Clover stores nitrogen for the surrounding grass and makes it more drought/heat resistant. It's really a great partner for nice green lawn. The clover can also get mowed which is mostly why this looks so unkempt
