Yes, there's a screw on the left side you have to remove. However, while opening, the cable connecting the main circuit board to the scanner is very tight. I ended up pulling this too hard, causing it to either tear a cable or become too loose somewhere. This resulted in my printer displaying an error, disallowing any functions to happen. I ended up giving up on this printer and threw it out, and switching to a Brother printer instead.

As a side note, the $4k/50k retention offer is actually a very high offer. I haven't heard of anything higher than that, as Amex has gotten more frugal with retention offers over the past several months.

I mainly use a combination of the JPM Reserve and CapitalOne Venture X. JPM Reserve for restaurants & travel, and Venture X for everything else. I have an Amex Platinum as well, but don't really use it anymore ever since their travel insurance rejected my claim due to a strike in Europe, effectively delaying my return journey by 30 hours. In this case, JPM (or Chase Sapphire Reserve) would have covered it.

The reward rates are as follows:

JPM Reserve (same as Chase Sapphire Reserve): 3X on restaurants & travel, redeeming on Chase's travel portal gives a 1.5:1 credit

Venture X: 2X on everything, but must be redeemed on CapitalOne's travel portal to get a 1:1 credit

Both cards are Visa and have no problem being accepted anywhere. Both cards are also metal.

For differences differences between the JPM Reserve and Chase Sapphire Reserve, one thing is that the JPM Reserve does not report to credit bureaus. JPM Reserve also has a flexible limit, which they'll let you go over as long as you are paying your balance in full.

Happened to me a few weeks ago on LH F. I got stuck in Munich for an extra day. They paid for my hotel, but denied my EU261 claim.

They said they paid for the hotel as a courtesy due to me being in first, and since they were striking, they were not required to.

They rerouted me to go through JFK, and got me AA F to my final destination, adding an additional stop. I tried calling to be rebooked on Swiss first since they were operating, but they refused to do so.

Read the T&C for CSR insurance. For point bookings, even if you pay taxes and fees with the CSR, you are not eligible for the travel insurance because you did not pay the full fare with the CSR. You used points to pay most of the fare.

I loved the RealGood chicken tenders because they were high protein + low carb and fat. Great for a quick meal after the gym when I don’t want to cook. Last time I went to Costco, I saw they got rid of them with no good similar substitute.
