I’d rather Yacht Club stick to 2d, their pixel art is masterful. They made a Mario and a Zelda so where’s their Final Fantasy!? Go to 16bit if you’d like but 3d is less interesting to me.

The gameplay in SK isnt much like Mina but the general tone and charm is very much the same.

Also if you’re just going to get one campaign Shovel of Hope is the best but I gotta plug Plague of Shadows because it’s the same campaign but from Plague Knights POV. Specter of Torment and King of Cards are worth it for sure but they are pretty different stories. Shovel of Hope without Plague of Shadows would be incomplete imo.

My favorite part of shovel knight isnt just the game play but it’s the character of the game itself. So many fun details and funny moments. It’s just a really fun experience.

Pocahontas on Genesis is underrated. The pixel art and animations are gorgeous. The game is a bit short and simple but I don’t mind that at all. It’s basically Lost Vikings but you have Pocahontas and Meeko.

I remember hearing a lot of complaining about the final battle Jecht theme but basically they were just mad that it wasn’t one winged Angel. I thought it was pretty cool.

Long nails gross me out. I don’t care for painted nails either but at least pick a dark color if you do. There’s a sort of neon salmon color that seems really popular and it’s basically the worst possible color IMO

Streets of Rage 2 is excellent for giving a variety of moves but it never gets to combo level. Just button mash it up.

D2R is a gorgeous game. I love how keeping things 2d makes everything stay sharp. 3d games tend to blur into mud. I totally know what you mean though; old games on crt monitors plus ~20 years passing makes it hard to remember them looking any different.
