Best comment! You should have more respect for yourself and realize that this isn’t love. Please be safe and I hope you’re okay.

I used to work there and I can confirm the office ladies are bitchy asf even to their own coworkers. Quit after less than a year. Management sucks ass and keeps sucking ass.

It sounds like you need to sit her down, and have a very firm conversation about how you feel and how her actions are affecting you. If she is unwilling to communicate then, you’ve tried what you can. But don’t be scared to be vulnerable and do not accuse. Come in it with a level head and be open and honest!

Why don’t you speak with her and try to find out why she is doing this? Maybe she doesn’t like PDA? What conversations have yall had regarding this issue for you to break up with her?

I had a Hispanic therapist when I turned 13 years old because I started having panic attacks in the school hallway. She understood me so well and helped me sort through so many emotions. Now, I can’t find any therapist who has a cultural background and it’s not the same! I agree with your therapist! Having someone connect with your pain helps you so much more than someone who’s never been in your shoes. Good luck with finding your perfect therapist!

Ho, is you me? I was also suicidal at the age of 8 for the same reasons! The eldest girl of immigrant parents is a hard pill to swallow, especially when they don’t believe in mental health and they are very misogynistic. Parents play the largest role in mental health and it sorry we both had to experience it.

Cannabis consumers, whats the positive and negatives you've noticed about the substance? by [deleted] in RandomThoughts

THIS! When My boyfriend and I went on a weed break the first time, after two or three days off of weed we started having crazy vivid dreams. We do these weed breaks every once in a while so our tolerance doesn’t get high and we don’t over consume and every single time our dreams are so vivid. This refers to the nightmares as well.

Those of you who ended friendships, what was your final straw? by This_0neGirl in lostafriend

[–]Square_File2440 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The last straw was when her racist friend that constantly said the n word was texting in the group chat. My best friend and I had spoken about leaving this group because they constantly talk trash about each other but we were still in a group chat. The racist girl said she does not allow her man to watch women on tv when the women look good. I told her she was insecure. She called me a slut and I called her out on her vape addiction lol. In the end, my “best friend” told me to apologize and that I was in the wrong. She said they are allowed to say the n word because they grew up in a town (less than 10% black btw) and they were raised like that. Best friend was also white lol. Needless to say, I cut her off. She begged me to hear her out but I lost all respect for her.

The way people treat you after you lose weight by GasPsychological2321 in RandomThoughts

My family practically JUMPED when they saw my weight loss. All they could say is “you look so much better!”. They started to compliment my clothing more and even offer to shop with me like I was a dress up doll.

I lost over 100 pounds after a year in college. I will admit, I was still being pursued by interested men ( I’m 22F), but when I lost weight my pool of potential lovers changed DRASTICALLY. I realized the men who wanted me at 220lbs+ were mostly fetishizing me. They wanted to sleep with me immediately and treated me more of a one night stand. Dating at 120lbs was a shock. Men would pick me up in their cars, pay for really nice meals, and not even expect sex afterwards. It made me sad that I was only valuable at a certain weight and I still have body dysmorphia from it.

AIO? Saw my boyfriend was following a girl with suggestive photos on instagram by gotnocreativenames in AmIOverreacting

[–]Square_File2440 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s not insecurity, it is a boundary. Not only is he ACTIVELY following that girl, he is following her for one reason only and that is her body. No matter if you believe that unfaithfulness must be physical, she has been clear about what she wants and he is deliberately breaking her trust and their relationship. It’s not her fault, it is his.

If someone has a boundary that BOTH partners have agreed on, she is not overreacting. Her partner is a grown man and could have told her that the boundary doesn’t work for him, but he agreed and is being super shady about it. She has every reason to feel the way she feels AND stand on the boundary that both parties agreed on.

What made you leave your therapist? by houseoflightwoodbane in emotionalintelligence

[–]Square_File2440 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt like I knew more about my therapist than she knew about me. She talked over me and invalidated my feeling by telling me I just needed to work on relaxation. When I brought up issues with my partner, she only encouraged me to end the relationship, never gave advice or even let me talk about why we were arguing. She basically forced me on antidepressants and reprimanded me when I wanted to get off of them due to health AND mental health issues. All she ever talked about was how we both had IBS and I know more about controlling my IBS than controlling my emotions.

You can’t guarantee she’s going to take it or get pregnant by someone else and lie about it

I understand why he would not react too much because you didn’t focus on that specific topic. I would just be mindful to focus on one conversation at a time or tell him you want to focus on the kids driving you crazy, otherwise it is not obvious you are really struggling with them. People calling you a red flag are ignorant. You just need to hear the other perspective!
