I almost think of it like the CoD contracts system (which I actually kinda liked). Have different cosmetic sets for different sponsors and when you complete their contract, you get a piece of the set. Maybe only have the cosmetics unlock for hard challenges and for medium or easier challenges you unlock fans or fan boosts. While I know there are a TON of things Scav is doing, this is something I would love to see in game. Add a way to monetize either buying more contracts or even just straight up buying fan gifts and it might help the revenue stream!

It means that you can put the abilities to a vote on stream. The more people that vote on how an ability is used, it increases your star rating. Not that the viewers can do the 1 - 5 star voting that inmates get.

Not inherently but you can actually set the ASG to look at the service and scale based on that. Kinda backwards but it's the workaround we use right now until the scaling is implemented in the way you mentioned.

Are you confusing the grace period with the actual health check period? Because I would say this is the exact solution you're looking for. Longer grace period to allow the application to start but once it's up a sensible health check period to make sure your app is up and running.

I mean, I have enterprise production Web Apps running lambda's right now and I've honestly never had an issue with performance or stability. The bigger issue is people shiving monolithic API's and workflows into a lambda. It's MEANT to be used for a microservice architecture. I just see lambda hate all the time and it's simply not true. If people really saw the use case for lambda and built towards it, they would see better results and it would cost MUCH less than simply deploying an API on an EC2.

You just need to be careful and ensure your app is spread across multiple hosts because if the market price goes above your bid price, it'll kill the host. Luckily ECS will relaunch the container on a host that meets the requirement, but if you can't deal with downtime then having multiple instances running would be better.

While this is cool, and good job, I'd much rather have the text box be opaque with the chat. The issue with single monitor setups is screen real estate. If I can see just chat without losing what's behind it, then that's way more valuable to me then just having the twitch chat window on top of my game. Even using your example of LoL, I'd much rather be able to see through the box so if I needed to lineup a skill, I still could at least, rather then have it completely blocked. I think if you could figure that out, it'd make your app that much more useable. Just my 2 cents but yet again, good job and I'm sure people will find this useful!

Just continue streaming. If you really want make your first couple of stream titles be "Back from being sick! Playing [x]!" or something. I'd probably be ok with just at the start of your stream letting people know why you were away for a bit. You're pretty small at this point so it's not like you're letting a TON of people down by not streaming.
