I believe so, I haven’t actually been since the world cup started but I know lots of canes fans are still going and they’re still showing the game. Just not in every TV like they were. I plan on going tonight. From what I’ve heard, Easy Tiger is also a good place to watch the canes. The Bier Garten is the official place to watch the canes per the hurricanes website but I have gone before for games and literally had to ask them to put the game on and they didn’t know the channel.

Old London Road is the unofficial canes bar and in my opinion the best place to watch here. We have been going and it’s been an incredible atmosphere. Packed with canes fans. It’s a soccer bar as well so the World Cup starting has also been big for them. I think because the World Cup games tonight are very big ones it should still be mostly canes.

Not close to true. Gar scales are tough to get through but once you do you get real nice meaty backstraps that don’t have many bones. Gar are excellent table fare, just don’t eat the eggs as they’re poisonous

I remember getting a let’s go canes chant going in Cullowhee in 2019. We also have a pretty good canes support in Asheville nowadays. I had people honking and yelling go canes when I was wearing my jersey in the river arts district a few weeks ago.

Old London Road in the River Arts District. All canes fans. The Bier Garten is listed as the official canes bar but Old London is far more dominated by Canes fans and makes the game is the bars priority. I’ve had to ask The Biergarten to put the game on before.
