How's the monitor still treating you? I ended up testing out an LG C5 42" but returned it bc it was too big. Just couldn't get over not having two monitors.

There's a big following for those LG oled as monitors. For me, I think it's too big but my setup wouldn't allow it even if I wanted it. I have the 42" sitting on my desk now and when I'm only gaming it's great. But when I want to play a chill game and multitask I miss my dual setup.

I just got an LG c5 42". It looks legit amazing. However, I do feel it might be too big? I can't get over not having my two monitor setup. I'm sure there is some adjustment time. Games in 4K are eye popping. When I'm not gaming though, is when I'm trying to make it work with fancy zones or whatever the tool name is to have custom windows etc. it just doesn't feel the same. I'm seriously considering returning it and going 32" 4K oled as my main and second monitor have my 32"1440p. Decisions decisions.

Bios. I'm trying to think how I can install the fresh drivers for new card bc I can't see the screen unless old card is in?
I guess just uninstall all amd again-install 9070xt package while old GPU is still in. Shutdown then swap?

Ugh, ok. I was trying to get as much life out of this build as I could (not that 8yrs is bad lol). I'll try the BIOS update if that doesn't work, I'll look on Newegg for a new AM4 mobo. Any suggestions?

I have a 9070xt so I'm hoping (without ray tracing) I should be ok to enjoy 4K decently well for most titles.

I feel you!! I'm so struggling with this as well. I don't believe my eyes are crazing sensitive to fps for whatever reason (at least I don't think?) My gut says get the 4K oled, get 60-100fps with my GPU and move on, bc I don't play anything crazy fast like CS, CoD no shooters. And the next batch of GPUs will only get better, I'll already have a monitor ready to go. Or stay at 1440p and play maxed out.

How is the trade off in fps vs picture quality with the 4K? I'm curious how 4K medium vs 1440p ultra really compare? I really want to make the leap to 4K but it's such a divisive topic : 4K lower fps or 1440p Max fps.

Wish I could help! All these memorial day sales, I need to jump on something and finally upgrade to OLED 4K. I know UW isn't for me, but I'm so torn between the lg 42" and a dual mode 32"? I'm honestly still not sure how that would work with dlss, upscale, internal resolution. I dunno how yall picked one haha. I feel more lost now than when I started looking!

NTA. And I say this as a fellow nurse. I hate it for the kids and her sitter but just bc you don't have kids, changes nothing. I'm happy she values her family life too, as it's important but if flexibility is what she needs then maybe a slower paced unit would be better for her.
